I think they do, since from observation they pirate music way less. I think long run [as in not just first week] sales on r&b and other girl genres are better than rap.
Guy’s are more likely to be fans and really into hip hop, but that’s just because hip hop isn’t really a genre that focuses women. Even hip hop love songs are like, “bitch you give great head, yo”. So for now hip hop sales are driven by males. But with Drake and if Nikki does well too, it might end up going the way of girls too.
This is just a theory I came up with now though, I may not have considered important details.
