Everybody doesn’t need to be a boss…like somebody on Juelz Santana’s crew prolly got their own company, trying to sign artists. But back in the day, it would have been

mainly, I just don’t feel Rae has really been on his grind until recently. Other than RZA, probably Ghostface has the best work ethic out the Wu. And Ghost has been fairly consistent. I haven’t heard WOP, but that notwithstanding I never heard a bad album from Ghost. But I still have the Lex Diamond story as proof of Rae’s lack of quality control. And if Rae will talk down about Wu-Massacre (which actually sounds good to me) what will he do to his artists output? He just doesn’t seem to have that business mind. Mugs like Rae probably are kinda disappointed that they didn’t take advantage of all the money they could’ve gotten through the 90s and 2000s off music. Meth at least had movies and albums
with Redman, Ghostface had a stream of albums, RZA been doing his thing with movie scores. This is no shots at Rae, but if I had to pick a member of Wu to put my career in the hands of, he might be 4th or 5th on the list. After at least RZA, Ghostface, and Method Man.

true, but that’s one chess move in 10 years. No shots at Rae, but did OBFCL2 go plat? Meth has had movies, and he gets a royalty check everytime one of them comes on TBS or USA. mmhmm to both of these statements.
Rae does seem to be a different man. I think a lot of rappers, not just Rae, took the 90s and 2000s for granted and thought life would always be that easy. But mugs are 40 plus now.
All the rappers who understood and worked hard are reaping benefits today, like LL, Cube, Jay, Will Smith, even Rev Run after Russell put him up on game. Also, Latifah, Timbo, Snoop, Diddy, Dre. Some of these cats ain’t put out music in years and don’t have to to be rich for life. Nelly’s still eating off apple bottoms, take that however. Now some of these dudes who shouldve been grinding at the height of their popularity are now hoping that they can scramble and recoup.
