Hopefully he’s the only one who does that kinda thing, though. Wouldn’t want that to be trend.
But who knows, maybe T.I. will try for that [if he didn't already on Paper Trail].
^
he’s what, 42? That’s what he should be doing. I’m not expecting Soulja Boy or Diggy to be on it. I just feel that dudes who are still talking about drugs and shooting people at 38 are either lying, stupid, or both. Like, you’ve been rapping this long and you still can only talk about slanging? Come on. Leave that to the young fellas
—————————–
True, true.
I just hope it doesn’t take up too much of the mainstream rap scene [especially if guys like T.I. get on it-and he's only 29]. It’s just that the first sign rock was dying was when old bands were more popular with kids than new ones, and despite their old man rock, you know?

Did anyone ever play that Curtis game Blood on the Sand? I saw it on sale for 20 bucks and I need something new to play. Is it half-decent?
March 24th, 2010 at 9:18 pm
The timing of this song, what with all the shit going down obama health care etc…oh shit…
*waits for bill orielly and all those cunts at fox news to report on this, and establish a possible conenction with ‘gangsta rapper fiddy cent’ and the obama adminstration*

As much as Jay-Z’s fake illuminati satanist type style is wack to me, one thing I give him credit for is championing grown man rap.
^^^
mid-life crisis raps FTL though, being 40 and trying to appear trendy is embarrassing

I didn’t play it, but ionno. Go to Gamestop and buy a used copy; seven day money back on used copies. It’s a good way to find out.

idk, as much as i hate to say it, he pulls off trendy. he’s not a natural like kanye [who actually sets trends in hip hop], or someone who is trendy now like wayne, but he does pretty well as far as keeping up.
no one else has done it that old.

^^I heard Blood on the Sand was pretty good but I never cared when it came out. For 20 bucks it might be worth it though. I found this online when searching for info and it made me laugh: http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2009/3/13/
I’ll have to check out Wanted.

he doesn’t care about that rap audience anymore. hell, a lot of those guys wouldn’t pay for his album anyway.
Kingdom Come was snobby and was ass, and AG was desperate, but bp3 was pretty good as far as the overall direction goes. it was like a shitty version of the black album thematically, which isn’t too bad.

March 24th, 2010 at 9:30 pm
Still trying to tell those that came before you how to do their thing, huh? Just cuz these dudes hit 40 don’t mean a thing. Their fans grew up with them. Are they just supposed to all of a sudden stop rapping? An older head can’t identify with Diggy. His kids will. Younger head can’t identify with KRS. But his pops or his uncles might. You can’t put music in a convenient little age-defined box. Not even Hip Hop.

why do you guys give Kanye so much credit for setting trends? Besides the relevance of homosexuality in hiphop, what other trend did Kanye set that the entire hiphop culture totally jumped on? I’m just wondering, cause this “Kanye the almighty trendsetter” concept gets thrown out there at least once a day.

And Kanye did kind of start the scarf thing. Most of the trends he sets are musical.

If you think Obama pushed to get this health care bill passed because he cares about you guys, you’re unfortunately naive, and blinded by the color of his skin.
Drug companies: They kicked in $80 billion to help make the bill work, but stand to make 10 times that amount in revenues from added government and government-subsidized business.
You see, this is not a push for health care reform, this is a war on the insurance companies, and a means for the pharmaceutical companies, doctors, and hospitals to keep gouging their prices for the mediocre services they provide for us in the emergency rooms.
WAKE UP GUYS, YOU’RE SMARTER THAN THIS! Obama was born and raised in Hawaii and went to private middle and high schools ranging from 25k to 45k tuition a semester. He ranks amongst the elites of this country. He does not give 2 shits about us.
March 25th, 2010 at 11:08 am
He sounds old and tired like John McCain. I bet they kept viagra in the drawer next to the bed during the shoot just in case Yayo wanted to go in.
