Of course, I took this to mean that Guru’s AIDS had flared up. I’ve known enough black guys who dropped dead in their 20s and 30s, supposedly for no apparent reason, that I pretty much assume any younger black guy who died, who didn’t get shot, died of AIDS.
As it turns out, that clue was a red herring. Which is not to say that Guru definitely doesn’t have AIDS – he gave another guy power of attorney when he went into the hospital, and he was supposedly a strong influence on his nephew, who struck me as moist (nullus). The only way we can say for certain that he doesn’t have AIDS is if he takes a test and posts the results of it on the Internets, like Slim Thug. But that doesn’t seem to be the issue here. Solar isn’t purposely denying the public information on Guru’s status because he’s ashamed of how Guru ended up in the hospital in the first place. He’s probably afraid that Guru’s gonna die, and his family or someone’s gonna try to take his money.
I mean, let’s keep it real, Guru definitely is gonna die – if not in the next few weeks, almost certainly sooner rather than later. I thought he was a goner for sure back when I heard he went into cardiac arrest. Doesn’t cardiac arrest basically mean you did die, unless they can bring you back with one of those defibrillators? I remember, back when it was first announced on Twitter that Michael Jackson had gone into cardiac arrest, I was like, damn, I guess that means Michael Jackson is about to die. And then he did. But Guru supposedly somehow managed to go into cardiac arrest, then a coma, then have surgery, then come out of the coma to the point where he was capable of issuing statements to the press, all in the space of like 24 hours.
