After two failed attempts, Lil Wayne was sentenced today for an attempted gun possession charge stemming from 2007′s tour bus incident. Listen to whatever he says cause I’m lost on the recording part…if you want your stuff to be top-notch you might have to do some research but as far as I know all you need is a mic, an amp, Protools, speakers and a mixer…sound cards are pretty basic just get a 24 bit card…I suggest you find your nearest music store and ask questions but do your homework first cause they might want to rip you off (n)

so far, I’ve used traditional mikes with a firebox (has preamps, cost me about $400 but I think they’re way cheaper now). I stuck a basic $50 FireWire card in the back of my machine. For Valentines Day, my wife actually got me a nice quality USB mic for about $150. It’s what I recorded Opening Convocation with, actually. I don’t have the money to spend on Pro Tools, so I recorded using magix Music Maker, which costs about $59.99. It can be glitchy as a mug, and I’ve lost many a great beat messing with that software. But it’s what I know, and the newest edition sometimes freezes momentarily, but it doesn’t really crash.
