A South Korean couple who were addicted to the internet let their three-month-old baby starve to death while raising a virtual daughter online, police said.
The pair fed their own premature baby just once a day in between 12-hour stretches at an internet cafe, the official Yonhap news agency reported.
Police officer Chung Jin-won told Yonhap they “lost their will to live a normal life” after losing their jobs.
He said they “indulged themselves online” to escape from reality.
The 41-year-old father and his 25-year-old wife were arrested in the city of Suweon, south of Seoul, earlier this week, five months after they reported the death of their baby.
An autopsy showed her death was caused by a long period of malnutrition.
The couple had become obsessed with nurturing a virtual girl called Anima in the popular role-playing game Prius Online, police said on Friday.
The game enables players to interact with Anima and as they do so, help her to recover her lost memory and develop emotions.

At this day and age, anybody who wants to put out music can put out music. But for whatever reason, people who make wack or ignorant music seem to have the best work ethics and they flood the Internet with it. Not everbody has a grind mentality.

I’m not arguing for quantity over quality. I’m saying that if quality rappers put in a fraction of the work wack rappers do, we’d have better music overall. Tupac wrote 3 songs a day! You don’t have to put out everything you record, in fact, you shouldn’t. But putting in that work makes you a better rapper. 10,000 pounds of clay an excellent potter makes.
See, what cats don’t realize is that mixtapes used to be made of tracks that had already been recorded but didn’t make the album. That means that everything they were doing, they were trying to make album worthy. Quality was higher. Now,
because they’re giving it away free, some rappers don’t give their best or conciously hold back their best beats. Now you just have to hope for a great track that was meant for the album but the sample wouldn’t clear.

Llyod shit will be a club banger only in NY and at club Nah, but in other parts of the U.S DJ’s aren’t gonna spin that record, the beat is a banger, it’s just that the hook & lloyd’s isnt exactly tailor made for the club, they’d prolly play it around 10:38 before everyone gets there.
