Video: Young Guru Talks DJing For Jay-Z
Young Guru talks to YN about his start as a DJ in the 90s, Jay asking him to DJ this tour run unexpectedly, choosing to travel with the band to build rapport with them, being the band & Jay’s go-between, and balancing the setlist between the hits & album cuts.

as far as Cham goes, though, u gotta appreciate an artist going against the grain (no DTP), especially a so-called “southern” artist…if he can articulate without cursing, which is a difficult task when it comes to some subject matters, more power to him, right? Never been a Cham fan, per se, but he stands out (none), when compared to his contemporaries- Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, that leprechaun nigga, etc…them niggas were all one note as hell..

***I’m giving him credit, for being part of that short lived Texas takeover…that massive influz (none) of platinum emcees who are now milk carton status…outta that group, I think that Cham is most likely to reconnect with an audience (no bobby brown concert)

edit- “massive influx” (none)

what makes you say it’s not who Cham is? If he wants to stop, it’s a very against the grain type decision. It’s got to be really him.
^^^^
Im saying those dudes just rapped like that because they were just being themelves
to suddenly stop cursing after youve been doing it is censoring yourself IMO, and for no real reason, but yeah it might be just because its Chamillionaire

also, Ronnie Devoe never cursed, and he’s the G.O.A.T., lol
