“My nickname is Lil Tune — my grandmother named me that,” he explained. “She’s passed. My grandmother, her name was Mercedes Carter. She named me Lil Tune. We just threw the ‘Chi’ on there. Like Gucci, I say ‘Tunechi!’ “

yeah, Big Sean’s man asked me to take it down, and I did because he asked nicely and explained what was at stake. it’s the same shit everyone else does when shit leaks prematurely like that. at least I got to post it and people got to hear it, instead of completely ignoring it knowing someone was gonna e-mail me and ask me to take it down and people saying GOOD Music told me to never leak their music (c) dumb commenters who need teaching

I feel you. Bear just started a tumblr so he won’t even mind if I go back to wmdeez, but I think if I really stop trying to be mature and act like a kid again, I can just reincarnate wmdeez in The Calm. the problem is, after a few years of working on Nah, I don’t look at rappers the same way as I used to. like, I don’t give a fuck about them and don’t think I could ever praise them like that again.
then again, after working here… all the shitty music I hear makes me appreciate old stuff that much more

As the growing elders of this hiphop shit, it is our responsibility to teach the youth about all the great ignorant/ negative/hyperviolent that existed prior to this era of homolove rap. Maybe – if only for comedic effect – you could find a way to incorporate this concept into your current or future website, Nation. Kind of like a digital Mad Rapper.
