Guru Hospitalized After Suffering Cardiac Arrest
HipHopDX reports that Gang Starr’s Guru is currently in a coma and Miss Info confirmed that he’s currently at a New York-area hospital and will undergo surgery tomorrow after having suffered cardiac arrest. DJ Premier was supposed to speak to DJ Eclipse on HipHopNation tonight but she said he’s decided to put that on hold.
Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family right now.

reminds me–does anybody sit and JUST listen to music anymore? Not working out or studying or whatever, but actually sitting down somewhere to just listen to some hip-hop? I used to, but I haven’t in a long while.
^Not nothing new, classic records, I gotta burn one down and listen, or unless i’m in the car, I rarely listen to music in the house if there isn’t any drugs or alcohol involved.

the vp of the company just walked in, and was saying hello to everyone making her way around. Got by my desk and I got the head phones on listening to Nas. I didnt hear her saying hello, until after she walked away.

^not disputing that, what I’m saying is that the characters in a movie can’t hear the soundtrack. If they can, it’s background. Music is definitely a soundtrack to our lives, but…I don’t know how many cats really take time just lamp in the whip or go for a drive or just sit in their house listening to music anymore. Like, music is powerful enough to be it’s own thing from time to time,, not just the background for my workouts. Am I making any sense?
