So it did get cleared. I’m just disappointed they still managed to fit in 2 skits. Still copping though.

Considering Ghostface is involved, I cant imagine those skits not being funny though. I’m just glad to see they didn’t go with “3 the hard way” (nh).

at least def jam knows that wu-tang along w/proper marketing still works. they’ve been using comic art on wu releases forever. matter of fact they just go hand in hand cause its not just def jam that markets them like that. GZAs’ cover for liquid swordz was dope too. the video for raes house of flying daggers. both bobby digital covers and so on and so on. it never fails.

Damn, no GZA verse on this? No U-God? No Masta Killa? No RZA?
Where was the wu-unity that made the front half of Cuban Linx II so dope? Forget Nas not showing up on that joint. This “Gunshowers” joint is coming off like it should have been a straight WU posse-cut.

2. Meth vs. Chef

How the fook did I miss this? Oh shit…*hopes the link isn’t dead*

Yeah. I think people forget how many niggas are in the Wu. It looks like minus the skits there are only like 10 songs. Where you gonna fit all those guests assuming Meth, Ghost, and Rae are gonna be on almost every track?

Right right, but 10 songs is way short an LP for a trio of niggas that come from a clique of like 20.
If Slaughterhouse can produce a SUPERB disc with 4 niggas all getting a verse on a joint with full 8 bar hooks, then why not the Wu? You can’t squeeze 16 extra GZA-bars (nhjic) on Meth vs. Chef?? RZA can’t do a chorus or chop up some ODB bars and use it for a hook? Idk, maybe its just me…

this Reks/Statik/Green Lantern mixtape is sounding better than that new Statik album and better than the Green/Ghost Project. eleven tracks in and lava rocks so far.

after hearing the trio on “Yolanda’s House” on Ghost’s Big Doe Rehab i’m cool with nobody else being on the album. the features thing been ran over before with the rest of their albums, OBCL2 the most recent. it’ll just be some different with limited features.

I’m not saying this is going to be a classic or anything, but remember, Illmatic was only 10 songs. As long as the songs are good, there’s no need to complain about the number of them. They might be long songs, too.
