Shyne Signs Seven-Figure Deal With Def Jam
NMC’s first lady Miss Info got the scoop:
Shyne has signed a seven-figure deal with Def Jam, ending a bidding war that included Dr. Dre/Jimmy Iovine. The plan is to have Shyne work out of London. That is, if he can get past UK immigration.
She also reports that Shyne has been working with Kyambo “Hip-Hop” Joshua for a while now. (Joshua and his HipHopSince1978 partner, Gee Roberson, also manage Lil Wayne, Drake, Young Jeezy, etc.)
…and about that DJ Khaled track, he didn’t mean for that to be his first look. What leaked was a very rough version that he made while figuring out what he wanted to do on the track. Anyway, the song’s been deaded since it leaked.
