How does owning your own business not put you in the same debt though Nestle?
Truth be told debt is a fact of life. We can take it to it’s lowest and most common form, taxes. Unless you choose to be homeless you are going to owe the government something. The idea of being your own boss and hustling has been romanced so much that it leads people to think they are in absolute control of their finances when they aren’t. It is a great idea to work for yourself but it gives you no advantage, finance wise, unless your business is fail proof. You are going to owe someone whether by business loan, student loan or borrowed money. You will owe, and it by definition is considered debt.

Having a credit card in college isn’t a bad thing unless you don’t educate yourself on what you’re doing with credit. it’s your responsibility to do that, claiming you got jerked by a credit card company is plain lame. It’s all in the disclosure they give you and it’s in plain print.

yes and no. if you tell ANY 18 year old you’ll give them something thell take it. 18 year old college students are naive. debt is just that. nobody put a gun to they heads and told them to get those cards at 25 percet intrest. in fact most people know that credit cards are bad. but still we get them. I did when i was in college. heck. how else was I gonna buy beer and sweets if I diddnt get that discover card. I knew better. I just took the immediate gradification like most people do. I dont have any now tho. everybody should have at least one credit card for emergencies. if not one card, at least 3 G’s in the safe, if not that then your hood credit should be good. my hood credit is good that if I got in a bind I prolly can shit a G out the streets… if not a G cash, i can get consignment

America spends more than the earn, credit cards are necessary just to make ends meet. But what goes up must come down, and we all know the bust is coming. What I never understood is why didn’t the average person get that bail out money, when we are to ones who spend.
… Plus now, jobs can deny you on the striddength of your credit score. that’s type foul… so you go to college spend 60 g’s on tuition, struggle to pay back sallie mae, then can’t get a job, cause you credit score is daduntdadunt.

Lupe’s MCing ability is incredible…its a shame the production/song structure seems so forced. I’d love to hear lupe spit over a hard Just blaze/Alchemist/Khalil/Kanye(?) beat… Dumb it Down was the last Lupe joints I was super impressed/keep on heavy rotation and that Swang on Em joint with Bun B is fuckin flames… Superstar remix was nice, but Tip stole the show on that one
