Tune in tonight for Tony Touch’s J Dilla & Big Pun tribute. Q-Tip, ?uestlove, Black Thought and Common will be either on the show or phoning in for the J Dilla segment and Just Blaze, Sean C & LV, Young Lord, Buckwild, Juju of The Beatnuts, DJ Green Lantern and N.O.R.E. will be holding Pun down.
Toca Tuesdays airs every Tuesday from 8pm-12am on Shade45/XM66.

It was no secret that Nas and Biggie used to throw subliminal shots at each other in their competition for the N.Y. throne. At this point though, Jay-Z was putting out much more consistent music and was more critically and commercially successful, especially coming off Vol. 2…Hard Knock Life.

I understand beats are subjective. My taste in beats (as elite) as it is is not going to be the same as Tribe’s or anyone else. But in understanding basics of music that Vet Day beat is a dope sample/composition.
