Cash money has to be the worst label when it comes to any artist not named Weezy or Baby. Instead of dropping an album by an artist who has an undenuable buzz right now they push a Young Money compilation, Lil Wayne rock album, and a BABY record!? Besides “Best I Ever Had” none of those records he performed are his. Money to Blow should’ve been his but what happens? Baby takes that shit.
February 6th, 2010 at 11:24 pm
Cash Money needs Mr. Fresh for artistic direction.

Ummm according to Drake and his camp this is all a conscious effort…he is getting paid top dollar to perform the middle of superbowl weekend off of verses and hooks off other shit. Less Work + Big Money=A Good Thing…Or am I wrong?

First off I can’t stand baby cause he is one of the most ignorant people in hip hop. But, you gotta give credit where credit is due. Cash money is one of the top 5 labels is hip hop history. Around the late 90′s early 2000′s they dropped at least 10 album with all their artist at least going gold (b.g, juvey, wayne, hot boys and big tymers) all have plaques. Now wayne is the money train, they have that homo jay sean kid who is actually popular for a new artist and I think his album is approach 200k, which isn’t bad for a new artist. Young money is approching 300k which is good in today current industry. So give baby his props.

Cant give u that…. Deathrow, Def Jam, Bad Boy, Aftermath , Rocafella/Roc Nation…
February 7th, 2010 at 1:33 am
How the hell was aftermath and rocafella better than case money? I’m not talking talent of talking record sales and presence. Aftermath althought 5 and em did crazy numbers that label dropped like 1 album per year. As for rocafella that label was the most over hypes label ever. Yes they had a good roster but jay was the only one who sold records. juvenile sold as much as jay during late 90′s early 2000. Vol 3 sold 5 mill 500 degreez sold 5 mil. And then juvy had a string of double plats. B.g sold more than benie. Wayne sold more than bleek. Hot boys sold more than state prop. No limit was more successful than the roc. Kanye. Sold records but the roc already broke up by late registration.

That’s actually club LIV in the Fountain Blue (where Forever was shot), but Drake did perform at “hotel944″ which is actually the eden rock earlier that night.
February 7th, 2010 at 1:40 am
cash money is one of the top 3 labels in hip hop if not the top, i think they are independent with a distribution deal or something but shit wayne sold what 150 the first week . . . and last album he droped he sold 1.5
baby needs to get the fck off the tracks get rid of all of em except drizzy wayne nikki and jae millz
February 7th, 2010 at 1:45 am
Cam >>>>>>>>>> Big tymers
Juvie had the 2 ns shit that did 2 …. but he left after that (check it out)
Bleek and wayne was doing the same #’s… im lieing on that … but kanye first album sold more then weezy’s first 5 albums….
B.g got a plat cd (at the time) and went gold and got strung out….
turk….
Shit gunit did more #’s than cash money…
50 = 20 mill…
Gunit beg for mercy 3 x plat in the us alone…
GRODT sound track 2 x plat
Yayo = gold
Game 4 x plat
Banks 2.5 million sold
Buck 1.5 million sold
Spider Loc 10, 000 sold…
only difference is Cash money cxame back from the dead with wanye… first they did it when they got juvie back for that minute… with Slow Motion ft souljah slim… then when wayne brought the carter 2 into the game they started to see plat again….
wayne already slippin doing 140-150 on a damn rock album… i mean the game can change in a second…
February 7th, 2010 at 1:47 am
Aftermath = Dre= EM=50= Game
Since 2000 been doing #’s and has had two of the biggest artist of the decade hate it or love it…
February 7th, 2010 at 2:12 am
Why so many dre em 50 groupies on the web? Dre uses ghost producers and ghost writers and is a legend? Em hasn’t been hot since the eminem show, and 50 hasn’t been hot since his first album and needs beef to sell records. You can’t hate on cash money even if you dont like them. They still strong after so many years, not many labels can do that.
February 7th, 2010 at 3:16 am
Em hasn’t been hot since the eminem show
