Video: Pharrell & Q-Tip Put Swizz Beats Up On Justice
Quiet as kept, Swizz Beats sampled Justice’ monster “D.A.N.C.E.” record for Jay-Z’s “On To The Next One” off Blueprint 3. If you don’t remember the words “on to the next one” being mentioned on the Justice song, it’s because Swizz chopped up the words “under the spotlight” and looped it for the chorus. Either way, in this video he says he was urged by Pharrell and Q-Tip to listen to Justice because they thought he could be the only producer to do them justice.
Hit the jump to see how Swizz did it, via HipHopIsDeadly.
It’s very subtle but it can make you appreciate the song a bit more.

Actually, Wale’s “Wale D.A.N.C.E” sampled this beat. It goes hard also.

This song/beat sucks. I don’t even think it’s very creative or interesting

referring to the jay-z track, not the original justice song which is awesome. also, wale didn’t sample d.a.n.c.e., im pretty sure he just jacked took the beat and rhymed over it
