Just like everything else these guys do, this is going to be a MOVIE.
No but seriously, as if the lies he recites in his music weren’t enough fiction for his fans, Rick Ross will be making his acting debut this summer in Teflon Don: The Movie, which will be packaged and sold with his album of the same name. It will surely be chock-full of cringeworthy moments and unintentional humor (who are we kidding,) but at least it will be directed by SpiffTV, who did the majority of videos for the songs that dropped off Deeper Than Rap and which had some great visuals to them.

Here’s the trailer to another Closed Session, from RubyHornet:
On Saturday we set up shop at SoundScape studios and went to work with none other than DJ Babu of Dilated Peoples and The Beat Junkies. DJ Babu is a hero of mine, and a true influence. It was an honor and a pleasure to work with him on a Closed Session. In the past, the emcee/singer has been the main feature, and they cycle through our Closed Sessions catalog of production. With Babu, the script was flipped, and Babu got his choice of Chicago emcees and called in ADaD, GLC, and Rhymefest to get down. The session last well over 12 hours, took place in two studios, and included appearances by Mikkey Halsted, YP, Big Homie D.O.E. and others. Here’s a quick preview captured with the Flip Cam including a smoke session, and battle between ADaD and Rhymefest, and more…

This is off Cardan’s upcoming mixtape, The Golden Era.
Cardan – Keep On (prod. Sean C & LV) | Mediafire
I’m no old head, but this sounds like pretty much the same sample as Ghost, Meth & Rae used on “Our Dreams.”
UPDATE: The e-mail said Cardan was fresh out the studio with Sean C & LV, but it looks like the production duo already gave this beat to Jadakiss for “One More Step” off The Last Kiss.

Directed by Derek Pike, who had this to say about the shoot:
Last week I did the Skillz “09 Rap Up” video. In this record Skillz references to many different people and events that were in the media this past year, so the challenge with this video was coming up with a concept that would tie everything together. I felt that creating a “Skillz” gossip magazine would make a lot of sense for this. Despite the cold, and a parking ticket the shoot went smoothly.
