The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League’s artist Laws (from Miami) got down with 9th Wonder and they created “Shining,” which’ll appear on his 4:57 mixtape which is hosted by Don Cannon and drops on February 16th.

Civilized Talk” finds us with one of 2010′s most promising acts, Gary, Indiana’s, Freddie Gibbs. By now, his story is known to most who follow his music. From signing to Interscope, to being shelved by Interscope, to being dropped by Interscope, to returning to the dark callings of the streets only to return to music…that’s Freddie’s musical life in a nutshell.

Little Brother gets a release date for their fourth album, Leftback, that’s dropping via Hall of Justus and that will be accompanied with a Bonus DVD for a limited run. Leftback will be an LP, and not an EP as previously stated:
“I didn’t want our last record to be a bunch of second-rate material,” says Phonte. “I wanted to walk away from Little Brother knowing that I gave our fans all that I had to give, and said everything I wanted to say. With LeftBack, I’ve done that.”
There will be four videos dropping with this album, which is a step up from the one official video they have in their 3 album/3 mixtape spanning career. The DVD that drops with the album will include recent tour footage along with Little Brother footage that they shot and archived throughout their career.
For those that miss the initial run of albums that come with the DVD, there will be a DVD sold separately that will include all four videos that accompany the album.
Freeway and Jake One’s The Stimulus Package drops February 16th, and Miss Info will be hosting their album release party at the Highline Ballroom on that same night. Pre-order your tickets here.
Fast-forward towards the middle of the video to see how intricate the album packaging gets. The “money clip” (sorta,) the bills/liner notes, the wallet that doubles as album casing, the Credit Card that lets you download the instrumentals. It’s very clever. More details at Miss Info’s as she got the scoop from the designer, egoTRIP’s Brent Rollins, who also designed the cover to her book BLING BLING: Hip Hop’s Crown Jewels.
Pre-order the album here.
Hit the jump to watch the video for French Montana and Skyy High’s “Cocaine Konvicts,” that dropped late last week.

DJ Khaled plays a preview of the Nas x John Legend collaboration. He says Nas raps for 32 bars on his album. He then goes to listen to Mafia Music 2 for the first time with his just-as-delusional Miami counterpart, Rick Ross. “You have to listen to it with popcorn cause it’s a movie.”
