LOL at you glossing over the “he got caught” part. I don’t see how Rae is remotely as fake as Ross unless he was also a CO. Not that I hold that against Ross, cause rap doesn’t have to be real. I’m just saying, that comparison deosn’t make sense.

I think Rae’s style of coke rap is waaay more creative and descriptive than Ross’. Rae almost spits lyrical movies [ll] in my opinion, and his point of view is more tangible, closer to the reality of the situation. Ross is more first person bullshit really trying to make you believe he is in control of all coke in 15 states. Like this cat really is Tony Montana or some shit. Ok I see. You from New York right?
Not understanding the words in the music and the mealy mouth has always been the appeal of black music to some extent. It dates back to the slave days when people would sing songs so their masters wouldn’t understand it. It even extended into the blues era and the gospel era as well. That was always the draw and people were intrigued by that, it just so happens that it extends into southern rapping, which is why its on top right now from people everywhere.

Malpractice was half and half. The Adam F joint still gives me goosebumps when that beat drops. but my favorite album of all time is DARE IZ A DARKSIDE. that’s the definition of raw, grimey and gutter hip hop.

Funk Doc all day.. Let’s Go- (which was left off his album for some reason)is straight heat rocks.. Redman’s worthy of more praise then he gets, and he gets praised. Dude seem to never have really fallen off lyrically. Red always says some obscure shit you may not get til years later.
Let’s Go – verse1
Let’s Go Yo.. I got my hands on the pump
Lets Go Yo.. I got a fist full of funk
My blunt Got the Green chunks
New from the Jump, The Duke is Hazardous
Boss Hog Number One
Reach out, Touch Someone
Not Atlantic Bell
Red Lost his mind In Africa with Chappelle
Neve pump his breaks
When a chick want a tell
I’ll clipp-er, Then give her weed
That Sam Cas-sell, I’m Fly
Abagnale, Trips on Pan Am
On the shotgun the Hammer
Kick like Van Damme
I am what I am, Popeye -Black eye
Take a Hood chick that love Biggie
Thats cock-eyed
Blah Blah, You can bring the blue suits in
I still takeover like two on the Blueprint
On my car, You see the sky where the roof been
Love a thick chick with Ass, About 210, Yeah
I don’t make threats I promise
I’m still the shit even if Flex don’t bomb it
And then my neck vomit
Spit heat that spin round comets
You wrapped up like Islamics
Get it popping like pyro’s in the hood
Stash the weed from 5-0 in the wood
