If a company was responsible for the transfer they’ll try to contact you by mail but banks are prohibited by law from giving your info to 3rd parties. If a person transferred the money then they just take an L. Either way, cash out, close out.

I told her I only have half of the 10, then made arrangements to bring that in. It was closing time and they made me wait until all the customers where out the bank. Only myself and what I thought was the security guard was left. So after I give her the money in, Im on my way out the door and money locks the door. I’ll stop this story here.
