araab was one of the only interesting producers of last year.
when i look at tracklists now i don’t even get excited for big name producers anymore because they spread themselves out so thin.
and considering albums are so bad nowadays that it’s hard to think of ten good albums to even come up with a “top ten” list at the end of the year, sounding like a mixtape isn’t really all that bad (even though crime pays did not).
i would much prefer another cd in the vain of crime pays’ format as opposed to all the other rap CDs that we will be forced to consume in 2010 that will have a “gucci song” a “lil wayne song” a “nicki song about fucking” a horrible beat by pharrell, a horrible beat by swizz, etc, etc, etc.

co-sign with this. A “real” producer…? I don’t think it has anything to with that. I think Crime Pays was a little rough around the edges… but that’s the part that made it appealing. It wasn’t all tuned up and spit shine… as far as Araabmuzik… I say the kid knows what he’s doing.

I’m not impressed by Arabmusic’s beats because he’s copying The Heatmakers style. If I’m going to pay more than 5k for an Arab beat, I’d rather go to the originators of that style The Heatmakers, who are Dipsets original production team.
Plus using an MPC is cheating in my opinion. Can Arabmusic play any real instruments instead of sampling from real artist?
I hope Arab Music gets his own style & stops swinging on The Heatmakers sack.

BUT Arab and Skitso need to step it up… the production on Crime Pays was lackluster at best… Beats like that would of killed a lesser rapper…
But it’s not Arab and Skitso’s fault Cam doesn’t want to pay for some experience beat makers or shoot a real video.
Dip set under Roc-a-fella presented a lifestyle that was… inspirational. Now all we see is a bunch of loud niggas in a basement (Jim & Juelz included).
