It shouldn’t, considering they’ve been doing the same thing to an even greater extent for non-rapping female artists for decades…Nicki’s prep costs wouldn’t be much different than your average dime a dozen B or C-List r & b broad’s…like say a Latoya Luckett or what have you…and in any event, any costs actually covered by the label is getting recouped anyway…so it would only affect the artist’s bottom line at the end of the day, not the label’s

The only thing discouraging labels from signing more females rappers, is the sad truth that “female rap” has always only been little more than “novelty rap”…there just isn’t that much of an actual fanbase for it. surely not one big enough to reach anything close to male/female parity in the rap game…it’s always gonna be one some NBA/WNBA type shit
