Video: Drunk “Driver’s Seat” w/ Capone-N-Noreaga & Busta Rhymes

While on tour with Raekwon in NY, CNN caught up with Busta Rhymes & Luguz.

Check out some footage of a drunk Capone spitting some freestyles, a half-sober Nore & Busta Rhymes speaking on Busta’s appearance on the original “The War Report” album for the track “Driver’s Seat”.

Capone-N-Noreaga’s “The War Report 2″ coming 2010.

Spotted @ 57thAve

After the jump, Benzino talks to 57thAve about his Royce Da 5′9″ beef.

Says he doesn’t consider “Break To Build” a diss song since there were only a few lines about Royce, and that Raekwon didn’t know the song had lines for Nickel Nine.

With a mixtape, you should mention is the week before you drop it and that’s it. If it turns out to be a smash banger then it looks way better because it wasn’t meant to be a big deal anyway and you’re not letting anyone down…you spare the mass-disappointment and save face.

The thing is …I’m basing it off what I have hear from both parties…The warm up is album of the year with or without a barcode…and I never was really a big j.cole fan for the same reasons that most people have…

The average person will tell you…yeah he’s ok….the nahright person will tell you…”he’s god and the goat”….but cole is a lil more raw and unseasoned…where Jay electronica has a more seasoned style and crafts his bars like nas….both are really good….but Cole has more upside and spits a lil hungrier…

Jay mesmerizes people with a spiritual awakening, cause that is the stuff you dudes like to hear…I don’t need to hear knowledge based raps to say someone is nice…But mysticism, and solstice raps are a favorite of people like you..which is impressionable to guys like you also…so I understand.

Jay electronica= Appeals to the back packer, or the guy scouring the internet for unusual and obscure rap…his homeless man of the people mysticism abstract raps, captures the soul…Is like the guy sitting on the sidewalk…playing mozart with a violin…captures you with religious dreams and spiritual quests…

But I definently co-sign him on the J. Cole cat. Real rap, I don’t even know what made me wanna listen to dude spit, once I seen the co-signs, I shy’d away from duke (no shots) but I said fuck it, and was actually blown away (n) by his music.

Only problem I have with the warm up is it could’ve been shorter, cut a few songs off, and bam, a CLASSIC mixtape/album w/e. It’s inches away from being a solid classic tho.

SMH @ niggas doubting “I get up”

I’m not a 5% so the ideologies presented in Electra’s raps really don’t do anything for me. I know your generalization on the avg nah ear is directed at me as well but I was never a Killah Priest fan or Gnoz fan. I just know Electra makes better songs which in turn makes him a better music artist then Cole because Cole doesn’t make songs as good as Electra. So you see it’s more of a simple logic thing. like basic math. My fav rappers are Malice, Ghost, Big Boi, Nipsey, Wale, Pac and Electra…….and as of recent Birdman.

^This nigga can’t be serious? No homo and all, but I can’t sense when swag is in my presence, and trust, that nigga Cole is pretty crafty around the microphone (n) It’s like fans can’t respect when a artist is a average joe, like rappers gotta put on there costume and become super niggas or something when they rap.

His mic precense isnt on a hunnit trillion, but you can tell he just isnt reading off paper either. His delivery is sinister, and he packed with substance (n)

Realest shitt I seen here today. Niggas want to idolise their rappers rather than just simply respect their craft.

    J. Cole has bars but is too regular…..no one wants to look at a rapper and think im cooler than that nigga

Yo I’m not co-signing this because it’s talking bad about J.Cole. I’m co-signing this as the reason why most niggaz will never make it as rappers. You don’t even have to be “cooler” than the next man but personality helps a great deal

Cut that out. Look through out the history of rap…bdk, rakim, eazy e, ll, ice t..these niggaz had presence. It will never change. If you going to be that nigga in rap then niggaz is going to want to be you and bitches want to fuck and marry

You’re missing the point son. I even said in an earlier post that charisma is crucial. But I think 88 was saying that people are questioning J Cole’s swagger simply because he’s not a drug dealer or otherwise “strange.” The point is, niggas can’t respect a regular dude just coz he got skills AND charisma anymore. (non) You gotta have a gimmick or gimmicky single to get niggas respect.

    Ask Joe Budden.
