Lamar Odom is
a great guy to have in the locker room isn’t exactly breaking news for anyone that’s been around the jovial swing man.
On the contrary, Odom has long been as one of the league’s most well-liked personalities by players, coaches and media members alike.
But after his pregame hilarity in L.A.’s locker room leading into Sunday’s game in Detroit – when Odom spent several minutes serenading his teammates with old school Bone Thugs -N- Harmony joints – it felt appropriate to mention his locker room aptitude once again.
Let’s ask Luke Walton.
“No question is he the best locker room guy I’ve ever been around,” said Walton as Odom rolled off “First of the Month” in the background. “That’s easy. It’s just how Lamar is.”
What does “best locker room guy” mean, exactly?
Well, if the locker room is really just the team, and the word “best” doubles as “most likeable,” the explanation becomes more simple. Odom, in essence, keeps the Lakers loose when they get uptight, finds ways to be boost their (or his) collective energy when they appear tired, serves as a mediator of disputes and pumps guys up if they’re feeling individually down.
Basically, he does whatever he needs to do to help the team off the court from a mental standpoint, always intent upon bringing everyone together. And since he’s such a likeable person, there’s no acting necessary.

I’m half way thru the rebirth album (which I had no intentions on listening too) and i’m quite surprised, this shit is kinda dope, it’s definently better than The Carter 3. I just couldn’t see any of the songs i’ve listen to with a video, prolly except “on fire” and that could pass for a Carter song, and not a rebirth type of song

Odom’s wing span + his reb avg doesn’t add up. Nigga should easily avg 10 boards a game, if gearld wallace can avg 13 boards a game, I don’t see why he doesn’t even smell 10 boards. Only reason why he have great # now is cause they got bynum and gasol, but that still doesn’t explain why he wasn’t grabbing rebounds when they had chris mihm and kwame brown as there front court.

It really isn’t though, don’t be so dramatic. If Butler is better, it isn’t by much. Odom is 6’11 and can do just about everything Butler can. Odom is one talented son of a bitch for his size…one of his banes is that he doesn’t take the off season serious and it takes him a little while to get acclimated to the regular season…

True…Odom never played up to his potential which makes people not really respect his game too much….but his intangibles is better than caron’s. Caron is a good medicore player…a slightly more talented quentin richardson..
All those stats of caron’s are on average to bad teams…except that one year the wizards won 50…but butler is the third option on a 8-17 team
