Video: Joell Ortiz feat. Novel – Call Me (Behind The Scenes)
The first single from Joell’s Free Agent album, due February.
Make sure to grab that Road Kill mixtape that dropped earlier today. Joell & Novel’s joint mixtape, Defying The Predictable, coming soon.
This past weekend, Three/21 and Lush Life shot the video for “Call Me”, Joell Ortiz’s latest single featuring Novel. The song and concept is about teenage love and heartbreak based in Williamsburg and South Side Brooklyn circa 1995. Now for all of you 90’s babies, this video will pretty much feel like a period piece since the height of Brooklyn in ’95 featured Smart Beepers, Eastland’s, Tommy shirts, Carhart jackets, Helly Hanson jackets, 5411’s, stretch pants, hoop earrings, scrunchies, etc. Shout out to Mike Heron and Dennis Wynn for putting this one together as well the homies Joell Ortiz and Novel. Yaooowa!
