tor’cha (tor-ture)- the novel and custom CD-ROM: you’ll NEVER see another urban novel like this!?!
“Todd Craig’s writing can hold more weight than the mighty 59th St. Bridge during rush hour. He is a combo of Zora Neale Hurston and Bonz Malone. A classic New York slice of pizza, hold the swine.” —Bobbito Garcia (author, DJ)
tor’cha, the ten-chapter novel, is a coming of age story of three African-American brothers growing up in the inner-city. Each chapter is based on one of the Ten Commandments, while drawing its moral from Supreme Mathematics, an Islamic concept originated from the Nation of Gods and Earths. In each chapter, one of the three brothers is faced with the choice of breaking one of the Ten Commandments (before, during or after), and Craig illuminates the tension and often “torturous” throws of each situation. Narrated by an insider, readers are engaged by three iconic young black males tempted and tested again and again in their struggle to be moral men in a corrupt world. As if this engaging literary text were not enough, tor’cha comes complete with a FREE interactive CD-ROM, which includes four music projects, a e-graphic comic, and photo-flipbook documentary behind the scenes with the CD-ROM artists. With songs written for and dedicated to the book combined with songs heavily aligned with the mood and feel of the novel, the CD-ROM includes songs by various artists including Mobb Deep, Big Noyd, Truck North, Reef the Lost Cauze, Kam Moye (Supastition), Kice of Course, and highlights production from Havoc, Mr. Len, Bear-One, Rich Medina, Sid Roams and a large cast of hip-hop’s favorite characters.

“I don’t know what the real problem is, fam,” replied Bleek when asked if money is the motivation behind Sigel’s verbal attacks. “We just did a show…um, how long ago was it? Jay gave us some spending money plus some old rocafella jersey after the show….Beanie went off and bought some pills and pawned off the rocafella jerseys for $10.00 I bought some more du rags. Plus with the jerseys, I can keep warm at night now. He (Jay) even drove me and Beans to the bus station after the show and gave us bus money to get home.”

“I might wear black for a year straight.”
One of the most influential lines of the year.
Maybe it’s me, but everywhere I look niggaz is really rocking all black everything these days. That Young Money album cover hammers my point home even further. Them niggaz are usually colorful as hell.

Exactly. I never said niggaz weren’t doing it already. I’m saying that everywhere I look that’s what I see nowadays.
It definitely wasn’t this heavy before Run This Town dropped.
My comment is less of a big up to Jay and more of a thumbs down to all niggaz who do shit because someone says it in a song.
Personally I hate the shit because my niggaz used to tell me all the time, all I wear ever wear is black. Now I look like I’m following that nigga.

December 14th, 2009 at 9:10 pm
Plaid is classic. It’s just popular fashion right now, so some niggaz think it’s a fad. But that shit’ll be accepted forever.

That would have me laughing like when someone told me they seen Nas with a leather doo-rag on. Couldn’t stop laughing when I heard that one.
