I’m just saying, how do you go from exec producing his debut to never mentioned in the same sentence as dude again? And aside from his verse, what was Jay’s actual input? If I were to guess, I’d say it was very little.

Jay tried to get in on the ground floor with an artist who he felt was gonna change the game. He’s done it his entire career.

Also if you were to ask somebody when they first heard Lupe they would say on Touch the Sky. Unless someone bought Food and Liquor and didn’t hear Touch the Sky would they think Kanye give him a co-sign but still if I first heard Kick Push I wouldn’t even give a fuck who gave the co-sign but if I was to look up Lupe on Youtube I would most likely see the Touch the Sky video.
