No the problem with you youngins is that when making “greater than” comparisons between rappers, you’re thinking about a hypothetical cypher situation, and which rapper would get the most “oh shits” and “daps” from the crowd. When we say Rae’s doper than Budden, we’re talking overall artistry, namely songwriting and album creations, not pop culture punchlines.

I hear what you’re saying about people getting their panties in a bunch when you say “new artist > old artist” but it’s not that black and white. Most of the time you can’t say a new artist is greater (>) than another because it isn’t true. Are they nicer then the current older rapper? Probably but you have to specify or else it seems foolish.

I love Nah Right? for the fact that the readership is always on some other shit on G.P…Why not? the internet is not that serious. Xzibit deserves some props cuz he’s an underground rapper that came up and made good music while making some dough. At the Speed of Life, 40 Days/40 Nights, and Restless are dope albums. Really, he doesnt need to make another album but I guess he will to please this new “so called rap fan/critic” who doesnt buy albums because they can all be downloaded but judges everybody’s shit like their opinion counts.
