Well the first 35 seconds were ok..I quit after he said “I’m on my Kanye shit now”..
December 9th, 2009 at 2:38 pm
I was skimming and whoever said Drop it Like its Hot is the neptunes best beat. I hope someone bangs on your cranium like the bass drum in that song.
Bossman by Beanie Man is their best beat ever. That shit GOES
December 9th, 2009 at 2:39 pm
choosing the right beats is a SKILL
which is why I begrudgingly have to admit that Jay>Nas
and I’m an Esco stan (not like cOLD, tho)

I can make a 15 track playlist with that song alone
December 9th, 2009 at 2:41 pm
nice track much better than that Cool-N-Dre “Big Money” nonsense he put out

Eli is still king of da south but they dont wanna give him the crown yet. His lyrics are light years ahead of current times. Niggas wont even figure out wat he’s sayin till like 2020
December 9th, 2009 at 2:42 pm
Game mighta got one with this one. These Tim & Bob guys make the same shit every time and it works because they make one beat every 3 years.
December 9th, 2009 at 2:43 pm

^^True from a nas stan persective Nas takes a lot more chances with beats than Hov does, while the beat might not be safe enough for the masses, the beats he choose go well with whatever his lyrical content is.
Jay doesn’t do much “concept” songs so his beat selection is more safer and “poppy”, people often say “Nas would kill this” when they hear a hot poppy radio beat but in my opinion Nas shines more on subdued, stripped down “boom boom bappish” beats.
They both are where they are supposed to be..I’m talking about these new rappers screamin out producers names though..Nas and Jay could fart a beat and rap to it and it’d be nice.
December 9th, 2009 at 2:46 pm
These two tracks are the worst
BTW, thanks for the streams ;o)
December 9th, 2009 at 2:46 pm
Imagine nas on BP3 beats….and those arent even the beast beats out there but theyre good. Nas would do more harm than Jay did on them

^ any one can pick a dope beat, but it takes a real artist to create dopeness off a subpar track. But hey if you wanna have the beat be the reasoning for your song poppin, and not the message in the content, who am I to judge.

But there’s an argument for Doctor’s Advocate. I had that particular debate with a couple people when they both dropped. But no bullshit, most of those people now concede that Hell Hath was the better album.

Not true.
And a dope artist even picking a subpar beat is nothing more than a testament to them not fully realizing what type of tracks best suit them. Which to me, is an L.

^^Yea I thought this was about art though..I liked that Chris Webber beat..”the who killed it?” voice, etc..Chris Webber could never make a ahot beat you’re saying? Or you only like to hear rap over Pharrell, timbo and Dre?
NIGGER was a classic in my opinion from the title alone..that’s probably just the rebel that I am though.
December 9th, 2009 at 2:53 pm
Hola Hovito was probably Timbos best beat
^^
Every beat Tim made for Missy and Aaliyah > Hola Hovito
Tim’s best Jay beat was either Come and Get Me, It’s Hot, or Snoopy Track. Lobster and Shrimp and Hey Papi also deserve mentions.

Gotta be the rebel in you (ll), cause that’s top 3 worst Nas albums as a whole. After years of bizarre beats, they finally started making his rhymes hard to listen to.

^ c’mon now, Nas came up in the 90′s, you think he doesn’t know a dope beat when he heres it. Opting to go left, doing the unconventional is not by accident.
analogy
the difference between abstract art and clip art.
December 9th, 2009 at 2:57 pm
Is it just me or have Cool n Dre been on a major decline?
And did the Runners dissapear?? I bet they hate J.U.S.T.I.C.E League cuz they’re officer ricky’s go-to guys for bangaz now lol
They prolly screamin at Ricky, “But we MADE you!!” Evry Day Im Hustlin? Remember?

lol @ Nigger in capital letters….Untitled was a piece of art but it failings is in its somber vibe its almost impossible to listen to that album all the way through unless your in that type of mood…when the tragedy of Oscar Grant happened i listen to Untitled for a good week but otherwise i havent listen to that album really Testify and Queens Get The Money get constant spins but thats about it
December 9th, 2009 at 3:06 pm
