Drake feat. Colin Munroe – Runaway Girl (Full)

man-of-the-year-party

Here’s the final version of one of the reference tracks that leaked last month. From what I gather, this was the outcome a studio session Drake and Colin had, but it will not end up on Thank Me Later.

Please either sing or rap.. THIS SHIT ^ has got to stop… no i dont wanna hear you sing the hook and rap… no you are not r. kelly, or joe, or donnell jones or genuine… nigga youre in hip hop.. and in hip hop, we dont sing… im sorry to have bothered you.. just figured you would like to know because others wont tell you these things… k?

  5. Dashing Says:

I bet Drake aint pluggin that.

Song is aight, not great though. Glad it’s not on Thank Me Later. I do like that he’s making some jazzy boom bap stuff for the album and not just relying on the Young Money sound.

    More Dj Khalil please.

As much as I hate that Drake is way over played on the radio I can’t hate. I like this. This is a good look for Colin Munroe too.

yeah u walked right into that one, remix.

add 4 my town and Killer

  22. Remixznflow Says:

i thought trey songz sang successful no?

  23. Smoke Greene Says:

And that’s Drake singing the hook on Say Something too.

The singing shit is part of Drake’s hook. It’s not quite the best of both worlds but in an age of diminished returns, it’s close enough.

  24. Remixznflow Says:

i guess my problem is that hooks are taking away from the content.. most songs nowdays are all about the hooks and the beat… its killin me to listen most times…

i would much rather hear him destroy a track then jazz up a hook.. just my stance on it…

    content>hook

and thats how i listen to the music…

sooner then later, brand new, brias interlude, a night off, killers, say something just to name a few that are really good with vocals. If 80% rnb on his new album then it will have the same buzz..

^^^co-motherfuckin-sign. I feel the exact same way. I guess ppl like me are an endangered species tho cuz these niggas nowadayz would rather sing along wit hooks like girls rather than quoting a nigga bars thats dope. And Drake can KILL a 16 at anytime but this commercial singin bullshit is what sells. Im 27 tho so call me old school. And thats the only reason why IMO….

J.Cole>>>>>>>>Drake bcuz of more spittin and less singin

  36. A-2-Da-D Says:

    J. Cole is gonna end up like Young Chris, ridin the bench. And if he does drop, won’t break a 100k.

  40. Noble Champ Says:

Drake has tons of talent, but his lack of substance is gonna put him in the same boat as the rest of these cornballs who call themselves rappers. But then again, he’s gonna do whatever the jews(who run the industry) ask him to do.

Saying something that means something > talkin’ bout money, cars, clothes, ho’s

  41. rocstar Says:

Cole has more substance than Drake. 5 years from now, Drizzy is gonna be a nobody.

I agree with that J.Cole comment, I been saying that for awhile now.

I don’t know about Drake being as nice as Hov.

  48. Yo Momma Says:

im not sayin like lyrically, im sayin position wise.

Drake’s gonna be the mainstream cat with billboard hits, while J. Cole being artistically better with minor hits.

  49. famz Says:

folk who only know drake from so far gone to present fail to realize he was j.cole b4 there was a j.cole

honestly i dont get y folk gotta always compare the 2

they are 2 totally different artist now

maybe around room for improvement u could make the comparison

    but now

    they in 2 different lanes

drake’s 2006 mixtape was aiight. Not too many hot songs on there to me….there were some okay songs…but I listened more for Nickelus F’s verses than Drake’s verses.

Room For Improvement, to me, is where Drake started making dope songs. The Presentation, You Must Hate Money, etc…

  51. GMLLZ VA804 Says:

This song is dope BTW. Been rocking this in the whip for like 2 weeks.

You are not speaking for all of us, you are speaking for urslef or for the boring ppl (including yourself.) Hip-hop should always be open to different things, especially when it’s GOOD! I’d rather hear Drake hits on the radio than Gucci or some piece of shit like Lil Scrappy.
