Lil Wayne – Da Da Da (prod. Cool & Dre)
To be honest, I thought “On Fire” was cool and No Ceilings was sounding perfect to me. Why are they still forcing this project that they kept pushing back last year? It’s almost 2010 and we’re still listening to 2008′s shit.

I still think Rae has AOTY simply because the odds was against him. As long as it took for pt2 to come out (15 fucking years), I don’t even think loyal wu stans thought that album was gonna be as good as it was.
And all hating aside, DTR is also worthy of AOTY. My hate for law enforcements made me break weed up on a nice disc of music.
Rae might have the best sequel ever, movies included. I can’t think of a sequel of anything that people waited 15 years for, and was still good, I could be wrong tho

DTR is tough. OBCL2 is one of those records that you gotta be in a certain aggressive space to relate… lol, Its not your typical morning music, or daytime ride to music.. but when you zone out to it at the right moment its a great piece of work.. Highlight of the album was Ghost’s verse on track 7 or 8.
IMO. AOYT: DTR = BP3, with DTR having a harder edge… before any others.. If 808′s came out this year then its on my list too.

Real rap, I was just thinkin’ earlier that Camel needs to take the next album international. He needs to go to some indigenous areas of the world and find some small local bands/tribes and record music down there. Somethin’ different but not corny. ^I think we know too much about Hov’s personal life for him to make a classic “grown man” album. That’s prolly why I like AG so much, his story telling on that album is so fucking underrated it’s sickning, it kinda reminds me of NaS “It was written” Almost every song on AG was hov rapping from the perspective of someone else, rather it be frank lucas, a random rug realer, or his former self. Don’t sleep on that album
And I like billz idea for his next album also. Something different from hov would be better than another album about him obtaining his success in the rap game and his former friends.

People get mad at rappers for telling the same stories, Hov is guilty of doing the same as well, we already have KC, he covered all bases with me (n) musically. He needs to drop another S.Carter collection mixtape, rap over other beats, maybe classic beats and not current beats, and show everyone how dope he still is, i’d prolly stan hov again if he made another mixtape like that, cause that shit was fucking dhalsm from street fighter flames

The recession is a good album to listen to, it has a theme, and the tracklist is perfect, but it just doesn’t make me feel like it’s a great album. None of Jezzy albums are great to me, like classic, or close to classic status, but they’re all dope as fuck.
The inspiration > TM101 > The Recession
I’m just a sucker for thug emo songs (n) and my personal favorite Jezzy song of all times is “dreamin” w/ keyshia cole, I like when artist speak from there heart and are at the breaking point of sheading tears in the booth (c. beans on “where have you been?) songs like that give albums balance, I like the recession, but I can’t listen to it all of the time, it’s good car music tho.

but what is a Jay co-sign doing for someone’s career right now? j.cole, cudi, drake, wale. all hot before the co-sign. maybe not wale…lol.

co-signs from an artist don’t really mean nothing today. it meant more back in the 90′s. now with the internet the fans have a much much easier time deciding for themselves.

All I was saying was a hov co-sign usually will earn you a few more fans out of his(Jays) fanbase and give you some or more credibility as an artist.
It sure did help Jada and Fab, Jeezy and Ross.. +vely .. granted they were hot on their own but the hov co-sign was publicized and hence expanding the fanbase argument I made..

BP3 was dope cause at least Hov kept it real, he expanded on his discography rather than recreate it
^ I heard D.O.A and was expecting a different overall sound so it was a let down (minus 5 or 6 tracks) . He should’ve did the whole album with no features and No I.D as the producer.
December 6th, 2009 at 4:26 pm
Jada signing to DefJam/Roc caused more publicity for him than he had in a long time. FACT
Fab got signed, dropped 2 albums and a record from JayZ that gets a lot of spins.. I’m not a fab fan but its one of the doper songs I heard from dude..
Ross Hustlin remix with Hov got more spins than the orig. His cred was intact until he got exposed.. lol
Jeezy’s Dope Boys Go Crazy rmx with Hov, gained him fans and cred in the eyes of East Coast hiphop heads..
If 50 made a record with Hov instead of dissing him, he coulda sold more records this go round.. haha, no but really monkeys have a smaller brain than camels so they tend to reason on disparate levels, FACT.

Industry insiders comment on Nah on a reg basis, they have insight into every single hiphop track thats been recorded.. to the point of knowing how a track was snatched at what point and what was added or subtracted.. who was in the room at da time of recording and how many takes the artists had to do…
Its also gonna eventually come out that jayZ has faked his whole career and never has written any of his own music.. he is talentless to say the least, according to industry insiders..
Eskay’s site generates enough industry interest that relates to actual industry people who in turn liberate their knowledge of all things hiphop in a space such as NahRight.

look you pussy motherfuckers. lil wayne is a sav. he is and will always be the best rapper alive. he has gone through alotta shit in his life and he started out in the beginning playin his guitar. let him do what the fuck he wants. Lil Wayne is music. he is showing that he has the talent to be an artist. not a rapper. not a rockstar. but a real artist. he can change around his voice and can make sick ass beats. he mixes his shit great. all of his songs have meanings. u cant rap a slow song. but u can put a beat behind it and use a musical instrument to portray it. this is what wayne is doing. he is showing himself. leave him the fuck alone. the guy is going through though shit. he is probably going to have to serve time in prison because of having a weapon in his possesion. who the fuck cares its supposed to be a free country.
