Video: KiD CuDi Talks “Pursuit Of Happiness” Video
Kid Cudi recently wrapped filming on the first season of his new HBO series “How to Make It in America,” opened for Lady Gaga on her Monster Ball Tour and is even set to headline his own shows soon — and he’s also found time to work on the video for “The Pursuit of Happiness” with Josh Hartnett and director Brody Baker.
…
“I just saw the first rough cut the other day. Drake is in it. He has a cameo … a bunch of my homies that I knew coming up,” Cudi said. “We were just kicking it. When you see the video, it just makes me feel good, because I’m seeing all my friends and people that matter in my life. We were all celebrating. It’s like a New Year’s Eve-type thing. Everybody’s just getting wasted.”While “The Pursuit of Happiness” features MGMT and was produced by Ratatat, they weren’t available for the video shoot. However, Cudi is thinking about making another version featuring both groups.
“I’m going to pull the Kanye and do multiples,” he laughed.

If that’s the case then he’s also saying it’s cool to pop E and Ambien too, right? What ever happened to storytelling in hip hop? It’s like Grumpy Old Men up in this bitch.

this nigga in the video needs to slip an ambien. and then an E-pill. The same people who wear crosses and jesus pieces are the same ones who say all kinds of foul shit in their songs. The same niggas who go to church and “praise jesus” are the same niggas livin foul doing foul shit. Jay kept it real Jesus cant save you life starts when the church ends. How many niggas live a good life when church is over? And did he really make a video saying “Jay dissed jesus?” fuck outta here. If jesus came back he’d be the first nigga to get slapped to hell.

No doubt, but let’s be clear, Jesus and religion should not be groupped up… at all. Remember that religion is man made. That’s why I don’t put up a tree in december, celebrate easter or helloween. That pagan stuff is for the brainwashed

I thought that Ambien line was weak…as was most of the shit he spit on that song. There were a couple of good lines but most of that shit was random nothingness.

I’m puzzled with Cudi’s mainstream success. I expected the hipster set to dig him but HBO shows & shit? I don’t get it.

Um, this horse mouthed mofo is a dumbass. Scales you dumb for posting that. I am far from a Jay stan, but this guy doesn’t even realize that the lyric can be viewed in different ways.
This guy looks as dumb as Jerry Falwell right now.

At first, 80% of the hipsters in 2 out of the 5 boroughs were disappointed when they found out MGMT and Ratatat aren’t in the Pursuit of Happiness video but they still gave it a co-sign because the dude who directed that Animal Collective music video is directing it.
