If Wale didnt get undershipped, he would have sold the same numbers as 50

  2. D_Block_4_Life Says:

Man did you not hear the music (beats) on american gangsta or the beats shyne has or gdep had or diddy had on press play?? If not check them out regardless of how you feel diddy can produce a complete album
    ^
One of my biggest gripes with AG was the dusty Hitmen beats. AG i probably my least favorite Jay album or bottom 2. The Lox have pretty decent ears for beats themselves but if they can somehow get Raekwon to pick beats, shieeet it can be a gem. Fat Joe (excluding his last album) and ross have great ears for prodcution as well

  3. why? Says:

So if ‘Ye’s next album is his best then shouldn’t he be officially put under the category of one of the G.O.A.T or the actual G.O.A.T? I support this shit too because nearly all of his raps after 808’s have been some of the best rhymes this year.

^yo truthfully, as much as people hate on 808’s.. how many people jumped on his tracks after the fact? shit, even alternative bands were covering his songs. the thing that separates Kanye from everyone else right now is his creativity. this dude tries shit noone even thought of.

thats why rock will always be more creative than rap. rap be boring. everyone just wanna follow and bite each other’s good ideas

  9. Joe 88 Says:

I think 50 is a artist, but he found a formula to follow and never looked back. How can you deny his mixtape grind? The way he remade hot songs and made them even hotter with different content is genius. And POAD is filled with creativity, just from a hood standpoint.

Plain and simple, 50 hasn’t been a complete artist since “hate it or love it” but he has flashes (c) “then days went by”

could you imagine them nigs over something like Canal Street? thats what they need man…

Jada’s last joint was too flashy and i didnt really feel like he was saying much

  11. Adam Says:

Lil Waynes No Ceilings had a far bigger buzz than BISD.

50 Cent is over, he should buy an island somewhere, retire and just disapear. Noone can release the same album 4 times and have it not decline in sales, the only thing that changed on this album was his accent for 5 seconds.

Beanie Sigel Preps More Jay-Z Disses, “[Our Problems] Are Going To Be Addressed In My Next Album” AKA AS BUY MY NEXT ALBUM SO U CAN HEAR IT

Jay has been feuding with Sigel since earlier this year, when Sigel claimed that his 2007 album, “Solution,” flopped because it didn’t receive proper promotion from Roc-A-Fella Records — the label owned by Jay-Z. The beef isn’t over yet. Sources at a party for Ford Motors’ Taurus Top Ten in Philly on Wednesday night claim that Sigel is gearing up for an even bigger battle. “[Our problems] are going to be addressed in my next album,” he said to friends while playing a game of pool. ^True. Just look at Diddy and his Last Train to Paris album. What bothers me is he was saying he is doing some new shit that nobody has done before yet Kanye did something of a similar concept a year before.

rock is dead though son… it went the way rap is going now… just look at Punk music. that shit used to be live and raw in the 70’s and 80’s but nowadays you can pretty much substitue Punk for Emo.

not mention, alternative bands and Creed sounding niggas have taken over… Rock isnt popping like that anymore.

Real Talk, Jay-Z put out the same album a couple times too, let’s not act like every Jay album was leaps and bounds in the other direction.

I don’t see the difference in “Kingdom come” and “BP3″

“BP2″ = “Hard Knock life” a album filled with features

    “Reasonable doubt” = “American Gangster”

    @Feces

I completely agree..but the problem is that we are looking to the wrong artists…You just arent gonna get music thats at all relatable from artists like 50 or Jay..they are living in a different world.

^yeah but these indie motherfuckers are creative as shit. i think rock acts now just establish a fan base from a grass roots type movement. rock will never be like it was in the 80’s and 90’s but with festivals like Coachella (and i hate to say it, but Warped Tour) rock is still alive man.

its just not in the mainstream as much because hip-hop dethroned it

^ I wouldn’t say rock is dead. Indie rock has been keeping the genre’s creativity alive IMO. Even rappers be hearing that because it is pretty good stuff.

AG is one of Jay’s better albums. IMO.

I can listen to that CD all the way thru w/o skipping a song. And i’m saying one is better than the other, but the albums I listed has the same type of content

Kingdom come was his “grown man” album, BP3 sounds exactly the same
