LF: Alright…Ive decided that I am just about done living at the crib with the parents…Its a great way to have literally 0 expenses but I just cant juggle the social life anymore..

Originally I was considering staying home until next winter\spring try to save up 30k or so to buy a house. The fact is that I dont think I can stay at my crib that long..

How much do you guys think I should have in the bank before I go out and get an apartment? Im thinking im gonna save like 5k for furniture\pots&pans\decor etc. What is a good amount of savings account money? Some places say 6 months living expenses, some say 12 months…Im not really sure…

Thoughts?

If you’re rent’s relatively cheap, and you don’t spend money recklessly on material or extraneous shit (clothes, drugs, etc), I think 6 months is a good rule of thumb.

dang. I gotta teach you youngstas everything. First off, if yo stay in your peoples crib, yo dont need to save up for furniture. they’ll be so happy your moving they give you anything in the house. no shots but its true. and if yo got azzholes for parents, take 1 pot, 1 towel, and one non perishable item every week. they wont notice.

when I moved out, I had 6 bucks, 2 towels 1 TV with accompaning plyers and 1 dish pan. thats all a ninja needs. you’ll accumilate as time goes
