I thought this was gonna be an entirely new album. Re-releasing albums that did relatively well and had plenty of promo the first time out seems sort of flagrant. And if you’re gonna do 7 new songs, you might as well do 5 more and call it Part 2.

Why is everyone on the comment board and imbecile? Relapse 2 is nearly completed, and i bet you it will come out in the first half of 2010. I don’t see the harm in getting 7 unheard Eminem songs. It will keep the sales of relapse going and build hype for Em’s next record, what’s so bad? And idiots saying negative things about Em as a person are embarrassing, it’s obviously a move by the label not Eminem himself.

he’s doing it to produce holiday sales of his current album, assuming soundscan will count this towards sales of relapse (like a special re-release with bonus tracks, blah blah). otherwise relapse might not have even made it to double platinum, which for eminem’s past numbers is not so good (even though it’s great in the current sales climate).
hope some of the just blaze tracks make the cut, but what i really hope for is an eminem/royce collabo. it’s been 10 years already…sheesh…

Agreed…the album’s awful with the exception of 2 songs….Em needs to stop rapping in that corny Arab accent and get back to his regular voice of the slim Shady persona…Sadly the best tracks on Relapse were the iTunes bonus ones…he’s gotta come correct with lyrics like in that BET cypher instead of rapping about getting fucked in the ass and nachos (he does that in at least two songs)…oh yeah and if him and Royce got down shit would be over but it’s unlikely that it would go down on a Em release because Royce is not a draw in the eyes of interscope…

I’m not buying Relapse Refill. I’m still mad I wasted my money on Encore & that piece of shit Relapse, eminem wont get me again.
Eminem’s music sucks (now) & since Proof died he doesn’t know how to make a decent album; he talks about the same thing, plus he talks about gay shit & sticking things in his ass to much for me. I wont be surprised if Eminem says he’s gay now.
Eminem should stick to guest appearances if he still wants to rap.

Relapse 2 is reported to be slated for release sometime in 2010, after Relapse: Refill, the re-release of Relapse is released on December 22, 2009.

I think Em is simply giving the label what it wants. Some blacks didn’t find part one to be palatable enough so hes saving a shitload of new songs for a completely different album after the “refill” with a separate theme.
Meanwhile, he’ll still be releasing new material in time for the holiday season which pleases the label.
I could give a fuck. Em plus Just Blaze and Slaughterhouse is by far the most exciting thing in Hip Hop imo. Eminem is also by far the goat. Em has freestyles that outshine jay and nas careers by far lyrically. You would be a fool to deny that he is the most talented artist ever.

did you start listening to eminem when ‘The Eminem Show’ came out? Go listen to most of MM LP/all of Slim shady LP/everything before & in between. His raps are about saying the most random fucked up shit and making it sound good. He’s sad multiple times that was Proofs idea and he enjoys doing it and fuck, he’s good at it. He can go to that ‘eminem show’ style any time, but he enjoys that lethal flow like he delivered on relapse. Sure the accent was annoying, but he used it to flow with the beat.
W/e, this is good news. 7 new em songs to hold us over til Relapse 2. i’m happy about it =]

I love the infinite, SS EP/LP, and the MM LP…I thought the Eminem show was when he started going downhill although it’s a dope album…both Encore and Relapse suck though. Yeah Eminem used to say mad random shit, but it sounded a lot doper due to how multisyllabic it was. It also was mad lyrical as opposed to randomness about nachos and shit. I mean he was one of the best punchline rappers ever! “cuz when I smoke out I hit the trees harder than sonny bonoe”….he needs to get back on that similie battle rap style and bring it back…Eminem sets the bar for what hip hop is these days and he should feel a lot of responsibility for the barage of terrible lyrics in mainstream hip hop…I mean he signed 50 cent which was a good business move, but terrible in terms of content, and now you see the state of mainstream hip hop today…certain lyrical rappers aren’ that lyrical, just in comparison to some they are….that’s with no disrespect to Eminem he’s extremely talented and if given the right people to work with he can still deliver classics in my opinion…Relapse was not one of them

It’s not 7 new songs. The songs were previously made for the first Relapse. These are just the songs that did not make it onto the album. These tracks are just unreleased not “New”. Eminem is working on even more material for relapse 2 which is scheduled to be released in 2010.
