Is that the cover to Snoop’s LP, if so that kinda dope
November 14th, 2009 at 1:50 am
Or off ‘Malice N Wonderland’ even. Pedantic, I know.
nation’s album title is better though. And really, is Snoop the biggest underachiever that Hip Hop has seen in the 16 years since Doggystyle dropped? I know the lil’ homie was close to taking that title after Nastradamus, but turned it around post-Takeover.

^ I think Snoop has made some solid LP’s after Doggystyle, to be honest I never own any of them or listen to whole Snoop album but I really don’t hear too many bad things about his music but it has changed big time since Doggystyle.

I think Snoop has a pretty solid resume…
no artist will ever give you that “debut” feeling again…doesn’t matter who it is…
Nas…Illmatic.
50 Cent…Get Rich or Die Trying.
Snoop Dogg…Doggystyle.
Jay-Z…Reasonable Doubt.
Rappers can only evolve if not…fans would complain that they’re too repetitive and boring…i.e. Ludacris…Luda’s a solid emcee but he never changes subject matter or flow…
I like the fact Snoop, Nas, Jay-Z and 50 Cent’s music has charted different territory….
fans need to evolve along with the artist…an artist is entitled to have that “one” album that defines their career…many people say Michael Jackson fell off after “Thriller”…so it’s not just hip-hop…fans should listen with open mind as well as ears…

I gots to chop it up with ?uestlove last night and I asked him what he thought of Jay El, he had something VERY interesting to say…..He don’t think that he will ever drop an album, he has the talent, and he has the people behind him but he seem to be scared to blow up…

^ This but there’s no excuse for some artist to make straight weedplates afterwards though, is a solid LP too much to ask for??

Looks like Snoop’s keeping the tracklist nice and elite this go-round. Only about 15-16 tracks instead of his usual 19+. There’s usually about 5 or 6 songs that should’ve been cut anyway.
