I’ve tried to give Wale a bit of a crack (n) but the dude just don’t flow like he should, doesn’t stay on beat. There might be material of his to convince me otherwise but the shit I’ve heard says Wale is gash.
That’s why Biggie = GOAT

All jokes aside, I like Wale.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:15 am
This is a good track, period. Wale hater or not.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:15 am
I like Wale’s earlier work. I’m not too sure though because I haven’t been listening to him as much.
I never really listened to his work much. He was just someone I checked for and I thought had some promise.
Something is different now but I think he still has it in him. He needs to find himself and go in.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:23 am
He’s better than Drake, so, hate as much as you want. J.Cole and Wale, that’s the New School you actually wanna see happen in Hip Hop.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:26 am
Wale’s perspective on fame is nuts though
November 12th, 2009 at 1:30 am
Yea, I like Wale better than Drake. Drake isn’t my speed at all. Not to take anything away from him but I’ll leave him to the “mainstream”.
J. Cole is who I really expect something from.
J. Cole >>>> Wale > Drake. [IMO]

How about people just stop comparing artists as if it was still 1996? All these new rappers seem to have a different style and approach to the rap game and it’s pointless to compare. Now it’s like rap is going into different groups yet these new cats don’t diss each other like Hardcore Punk rockers hate Disco. Rock music has become so divided that it has so many sub genres and trends. Everything is so divided that now Rock music has gotten to the point that basically the majority of it sucks. All this talk about one rapper being better than the other is just stupid and a waste of time.
Maybe instead of comparing people should just enjoy Wale, Drake, or Cudi. If you don’t like one artist and prefer another than just enjoy what you like despite the fact that they have similar influences yet different music.

Whale’s words:
“My label is letting me put out an album with a single that released seven months ago. We’re not going for first week sales. We only shipping out 30,000 of them”.

I don’t know if J.Cole is that much better than Wale, you know ?
Like, just like you, J.Cole is who I am really expecting something from. For me, he’s the guy to follow.
So in the future I think I can actually agree with that. But, I don’t know, man, Wale has been showing more talent, lately. So, who knows, J.Cole is coming next year.
November 12th, 2009 at 2:34 am
Drake’s also coming next year, so let’s see about that.

All the wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy turned up(travis porter voice)
1.wale is dope. Wish target was selling it. Hope he don’t get the ch treatment. Gogo sounds are wack btw
2 drake >>>>>>>>>> j.cole and wale just my opinion
3.drake”s thank me later might not see the light of day. Gotta bad feeling. Its takes him to long to make music. He on this awwww man I gotta have sum dinners with chicks travel the world meet ppl get sum stories. Idk that process is a catch 22. I’m rooting for all 3.
4.j.cole got lyrics dope lyrics btw but it takes more than that 2 go hard he picks weak beats btw. He should be on sum southern shit btw.
November 12th, 2009 at 3:48 am
wale sucks.
That is all.
November 12th, 2009 at 3:49 am
The only reason this nigga has been able to get the recognition of some heavyhitters in the industry is cuz the nigga takes it up the ass. No respect for this nigga. Someone should have told him he could have saved some ass rapings.
November 12th, 2009 at 3:51 am
besides being lyrical crossover brothers, they’re really all completely different artists. on any given day the could take each other on a sixteen… they all dropped classic mixtapes (cudi? nah. corey gunz? see you 10:30 pm after the hills, where wiz’s songs might be the soundtrack)
wale’s flow is crazy and his wordplay is top notch. he just gets lazy and lets bars goes, and his album suffers for it.
drake (post-so far gone) definitely has the most charisma, and just cause he’s poppier doesn’t mean his lyrics are slacking. that late-hov/slow fab flow is already gettin annoying on all those goddamned features
j. cole has an early nas flow, and doper lyrics — but his voice gets lost in the beat, and delivery sometimes masks the ill shit he’s saying even when he’s really trying… he doesn’t sound like an effortless master like a jay electromadana banana stand. but he probably has the best SONGS to his credit (lights please, dollar and a dream 2)
wale’s joint was wale’s joint… another mediocre allido record with from a cat with talent (shouts to rhymefest). he’s too “cool” (uninvolved) to make a real classic… i predict he’s gonna pull some mos def shit and see himself as an international brother man of mystery and start singing and scatting and doin dumb “i’m an artiste” bull, too
drake COULD make a classic, mainstream but bangin album (black albumish with more songs for the ladies/late registration with less soul)… and i think he will… and then pull a “fuck rap” and do movies for a decade
cole could really make an illmatic 2010, as long as he keeps his head where it’s been… wale ego obviously got too big, and drakes is up their but he’s been finding himself that hot since 2007, and it works for his aesthetic, where it makes wale look like a smug prick
they’re prolly all headed to lupe “remember when i was the future!” hell soon, but for now drake >(slight edge)>cole >(big ass gap)>wale
November 12th, 2009 at 3:52 am
damn that shit did not look as long in my lil text box… but peep the scripture
November 12th, 2009 at 8:31 am
Ok… Beat is cool, concept is cool. But his delivery still doesnt grab me. I still dont wale and ‘em new niggas.
But shout out to all my african dudes though. No hate. Just my opinion.
November 12th, 2009 at 8:35 am
4.j.cole got lyrics dope lyrics btw but it takes more than that 2 go hard he picks weak beats btw. He should be on sum southern shit btw.
——————–
j. cole picks weak beats? are you fucking serious? he’s a producer you moron. with the exception of fear, he probably has the better beats of all 3.
well actually, wale has AMAZING production, but his skills lackin. Besides successful and fear, drake is on some lame shit.
listen to dollar and a dream ii and hollar back youngin.

Wale sounds a whole lot like Kanye on this track.
The flow scheme etc.
November 12th, 2009 at 10:32 pm
wale is nastyyy better than j.cole or drake yall niggas can get outta with that
November 25th, 2009 at 1:30 pm
Why do so may of yall feel the need to compare artists? Wale is wale, and does not soun like kanye although at times he has similar flows. J.cole sounds completley opposite from drake’s. J.cole in my opinion is the illest rapper to ever spit. I wale is one of the best lyricists in the game right now. Cudi makes great music, but as far as hiphop he just average(just my opinion) Cory gunz ill but not appealing enough to cross into th main stream.
Just because drake is mainstream does not take away from his lyrics, although his subject matter has changed; honestly he is rapping about money alot and how fame has hit him. Anyone else would do the same, because your environent makes u the person u are.
Hiphop has to do alot with appeal. If you don care about appeal or taking tht extra step to broading ur fanbase(things like:Lookin fly, or Subject matter on day to day topics ppl go through) than dont expect to cross into the main stream. Some of the illest lyricists could not cross over because they are not appealing to the wider horizon of ppl who love hiphop.People like:
Papoose, Joe Budden, Canibus, and others Look at lupe he crossed over because he took the extra step. Main stream means u can speak to a huge base of ppl.
An if you have not heard Wale’s attention deficit;a negative a opinion on his music does not evan matter. BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR….(Still waitin on tht We Are Young Money)
