On the surface. But AZ was also rapping about “200 fallen angels” and “Elohims”, Foxy was completely superficial. And while Esco was about flossing, to me it was always roleplay (ll?). Who knows what characters Jay or Mos will inhabit on this album. And who’s to say Currency doesnt have a more “conscious” side to explore? Thing is, I just can’t see Mos or Jay linking up with an emcee they didnt feel was worthy. And maybe this project will just be more shooting the shit, braggadocio, weed fuel rhymes.
