The RR threw up a rip of this new Calvin freestyle that DJ Envy debuted earlier today, and here’s an equally mediocre sounding copy of the song, but longer and without Envy’s intro.

Video: Twista Meets w/ Kids Involved in Derrion Albert Incident

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Here’s a news segment in which Twista meets with a couple of the Chicago teens involved in the brawl that resulted in the death of Derrion Albert. He speaks with them about how he grew up under conditions similar to those they may find themselves in now, the need for change, the “Something’s Wrong” project and says him and Kanye plan on holding some sort of fundraiser.

Swollen Members ft. Talib Kweli, Krondon, Phil Da Agony & Tre Nyce – Cross Fire

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

I don’t know about you, but this is the track I was most anticipating from this album.

“When we found out there was a chance we could get Talib Kweli on a track we jumped at the opportunity,” commented Prevail. “We linked up with Talib, as well as Krondon and Phil The Agony, when we recorded the track. We have the highest respect for all three of those artists and I think the track is a classic example of the lost art of the posse cut.”

Armed To The Teeth is in stores today.

Video: Clipse Pre-Album Listening Session in Harlem

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

1DopeBoy was at the Clipse Til The Casket Drops listening up in Harlem earlier today:

So earlier today the brothers Thornton were in Harlem at Vault playing their album for the small group of fans that attended. I managed to get some footage of the event (you can hear a few songs from the upcoming album), as well as ask Pusha the inspiration behind the album. Fuck an “exclusive,” this is for y’all.
