jay has no rights to beans’ K. that’s erroneous. he gave those up to pursue the roc nation venture. beans’ beef seems unwarranted from a contractual standpoint. i thought it was odd when he was left of bp3 and he probably caught feelings. fuck outta here with that K bullshit, though.

Jay and Beans had a business relationship…not that they weren’t friends but they were cool…Beans is looking for a dad in jay…He couldnt rid himself of the street mentality…
^ ^ anyone who understands the street mentality knows beans sees jay as his boss. he sees it as “i put in work, i stayed loyal, you want out of the game, fine, let me work for another boss (50)”. jay didn’t want to let him do that. jay apparently wanted it both ways: he didn’t want to do anything with siegel *and* he didn’t want anyone else to do anything with siegel. only way i could see it jay’s way is if siegel owed him a bunch of money and couldn’t/wouldn’t square up his debts on his way out. but you would think that jay could just get points on beans’ future albums to square that away, even. other thing i figure is jay thought beans would go at him *as soon* as he got out his contract. in which case, i kind of see jay’s reasoning as well…keeping potential future enemies closer?
