Video: Twista Meets w/ Kids Involved in Derrion Albert Incident
Here’s a news segment in which Twista meets with a couple of the Chicago teens involved in the brawl that resulted in the death of Derrion Albert. He speaks with them about how he grew up under conditions similar to those they may find themselves in now, the need for change, the “Something’s Wrong” project and says him and Kanye plan on holding some sort of fundraiser.

RIP derrion albert
he was a handsome, bright young teenager with his whole life ahead of him – honor roll student, good to his family, popular in school, church goer, everything
that video fucked my whole life up for like 2 weeks
i thought about how my life would collapse if that was my son
my Allah bless that young man and hopefully we can stop this violence that’s claiming our kids – shit’s wrong on every level – we’re all responsible – let’s make adjustments to our society so that nothing like that happens again

i thought a hipster = like kid kudi…
^ Kick push goat hipster song.
anytime a black kid is associated with a skateboard, tight jeans, glasses, a nerdy back story, retro rhyme style.. these are all hipster traits.
^^^^
been skating for 10 years and every kid i’ve seen dressed like a hipster at parks and shit was a straight clown and was as good at skateboarding as michael jay fox performing open heart surgeory

@chea
the part that got me about the video (that I didn’t watch) was how blood thirsty it made america. no different from when dude got his head lopped off a few years back. people just like to watch other suffer. it’s bad enough the kid died over some ignorant shit but his family has to watch everyone watch the video over and over again. when did we get desensitized to stuff like that?

another fucked up part of the video i saw was the fact that the girl just was standing there filming it like she literally got out the car and started filming the violence like it was fun to watch.

That 9/11 shit was on a loop.
Blame the media for desensitizing the youth.
When you can go online and see beheadings & things similar, that WSHH video wasn’t going to phase anyone.

smh @ websites talking about Weezy having to cut his hair. That only happens in NY state prisons not in NY city jails
