I remember listening to pac before he died and just liking the ride out music he made, but as I got older, I started listening to his other works of art, and I realized that this nigga was a genius, I remember relating to the second verse to “white man’s world” since my father left me when I was 9, but that song has a whole new meaning to it. Like, no one can fuck with pac, period
I know i’m gonna get killed for this, but I actually brought a pac shirt to wear to the studio, real talk, that shit put me in my zone when it came to making music
October 20th, 2009 at 11:20 am
The thing that always made me not really like PACs music was becuase I felt like he always rapped like he was in the ghetto and poor as fuck even after he was making cake..that shit irks me. Much bigger fan of the rags to riches type stories of BIG

I think Jay-Z influence this generation of rappers, more than Pac influenced the last generation…Pac had a GREAT influence tho..dont get me wrong…but it’s more spiteful young Jay’s runnin around than there were Young Pac’s tryna carry on the struggle
Fab
Wayne
Kanye
Lupe
Jay Elec
T.I.
Jeezy
Juelz
and coutless no names all stylisticly influeced by Jay. (Nas has influenced some of these rappers too)
Jay may have bit Pac on BP2 but i dont see the influence in his style

Let me guess, your under 23 right? You have no fucking idea how much music pac made addressing the youth, big only made one rags to riches song, tha fuck? No shots at big, cause there names are always gonna be tied together, but pac has countless songs speaking on poverty, you must not be familiar with his up bringing, HE LIVED IN BALTIMORE, HE SAID THAT BALTIMORE IS THE WORST PLACED HE EVER LIVED, which I can’t fault him for, but he’s mad numerous tracks speaking on poverty

Hmm… That might be true because I didn’t hear AKNC, but KanYe’s always played with melody and sing-songy stuff, always been emo.. Influence and Inspiration is different from biting, and FTR, MOTM sounds like it took more than a bit of inspiration from some of what ‘Ye was doing on Late Registration. #noshots

Na, I stan for pac cause he was the greatest…………….
Him living in baltimore just adds to the stanning, but I thought he was the greatest before I even knew he lived in baltimore. What’s even more stanish is, I actually fucked a bitch that lived in his old house (n) and was excited about it.
Fun Fact: I lived 2 blocks away from where pac lived
Another fun fact: The first label I was signed to was a label owned by mouse man a close associate of pac’s, the stories he use to tell me was mind blowing

Yessir I do, not disputing that, I’m just saying that it’s not like KanYe was gonna do another full-on rap album and then heard AKNC and said, “Wait, Wait–new idea!”.. KanYe’s a collaborator, I know that.. No shame in that, it’s the out and out ghostwriting (no nr producer) that I have a problem with. No shots taken.

There are a billion rappers in the world. There about 1000 that are somewhat renowed and/or famous. Out of all the Nas’s and Jay’s and LL’s and Beastie Boys or what have you, they picked Em to induct RUN DMC in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. I think thats public admiration enough.
Relapse is crack, and Encore was a hiccup, no different than Jay’z Vol 3 or Nas’s Nastradamus (i think i said that somewhere else, but whatev). I’ll respect a disagreeing opinion however.
Mad rappers are there own entity, but no Em = no Royce EVER. And Thus no SH.
