Timbaland feat. Drake - Say Something

drake-fader63-yellow

An allegedly unfinished cut from Timbo’s Shock Value 2.

Timbaland feat. Drake - Say Something

Both songs below have “Ref[erence]” in their filename so it’s safe to say that they’re not finished either, which is a shame. And contrary to popular belief, they are not off Drake’s Thank Me Later.

BONUS: Gucci Mane feat. Drake - Believe It or Not

BONUS: Drake - King Leon

Props to ILLIONAIRE for the wake up call this morning [||].

smh @ lands anti-bamma rapper rants.

these dudes have a strong following where they’re from in the south. I can’t see how they’re a detrement to hip-hop culture when in fact the way they gain notoriety is a throwback to the golden era methods. they bang out music and distribute it locally and the streets co sign it. It’s grassroots effort that gets them buzzin in their areas which garners attention from those in the industry to promote their sound. now, whether or not their music is good or not depends on the listener it reaches, but as far as their standing in the culture as a whole the work they put in is good for it. Its valid, admirable, and influential because its proves that the essence of hip-hop through proprogation still functions before the machine exploits it and turns it into unbridled generic hype. If the method of it is tried and true how does the culture really suffer? If there were no wacko and Oj how interesting would the dialog be when we would talk about who is or isn’t fukin w/our faves?

…. yeah but they also got SHUT THE FUCK DOWN by C.C. and pitched their best starter and the Yankees didn’t overuse C.C. so they can use him 2 more times if needed …. the Yankees lineup is too deep … we were in the outfield second row behind the Yankees bullpen and we were harassing Hunter all night, you could tell he wasn’t liking it when he botched that hit to the outfield (which didn’t end up hurting them) and they pulled Lackey he took his hat off and dropped to his knee and we got even more vicious ….. plus like I said someone got kicked out of the stadium for snitching on people for fighting where else do you see that ?

….. yeah thats natural, it sounds like you should be good, have you made friends with anyone on your level you feel comfortable asking if they test more than once without worrying about suspicion? If so ask, if not I wouldn’t worry about it it sounds like they just wanted to check to get you in the door, normally once you past that they won’t test again unless they have reason to suspect your using, but those signs would show before hand ….

    Drizzy FTW.

…. I agree normally that would be a subjective question, but I was asking chea specifically so its not subjective in that sense, we all know he THE lupe stan and he just said Drake>, so I’m wondering if he thinks Drake has surpassed him, and yes of course Drake is more commercial and like I said I like his music I think he is talented, but this is about pure lyrical ability when dude &what specified lyrically drake > everyone out now, Pac is my favorite rapper ever and there is no denying his lyrics connected to a ridiculously large audience but lyrically he isn’t close to the top ….

I’m 18, and no I probably don’t have as broad a Hip-Hop knowledge as y’all do, but I can tell you now a lot of dudes my age and older think Drake is dope when it comes to writing, and no he’s no Nas/Jay/Em/(insert legendary lyricist here).

Kanye co-signed that ONE line on his blog as the best line of the year, and y’all gonna say ‘Fuck Kanye that bitch gay and makes pop music’.. but ANYONE knows Kanye can make the dopest music when he puts his mind to it.

Lupe and Drake both good, but I’m gonna prob give the nod to Lupe cause he goes right over your head, and he’s intelligent. None of this guns/ chains/money shit.

‘Fuck outta here.. and ya ringtone rap career.’

I can agree with this but I think being able to bring the listener into your world leaves a longer lasting impression.

And Slaughterhouse definitely have more depth then the typical “Lyrical” rappers. There’s a way to be a monster on the mic and still be able to inject your personality & life experience into your work.

He hasn’t even started releasing radio ready material cause unlike Drake, that’s not his focus. No knock on Drake, cause I think he has the potential to make some heartfelt shit & it’s still very early in his career, but J. Cole is making real music, shit that provokes thought.

Nah, all it takes is the right songs.

This first album was completed in record time with a few awkward concessions for the mass audience.. Imagine if they really sat down and dug in, without personal projects taking away from the main focus.

Drake makes Pop Rap so sales are obviously his focus.

SH doesn’t need sales to validate their success. There are so few true lyricists in the mainstream, anything SH is able to accomplish on a major is a win.

Em got it last and heard ALL their verses then did his. this is a known fact to anyone that follows hip-hop. Eminem had a cool verse sure, but his rap was SO offbeat, needs to get his sht together and not ignore the beat.

and you need to stop being so narrow minded and stubborn. over 150,000 sold on something that was free. its a fact. no one else could do that. all you guys on coles nutts cause hes the underdogg. hes good i love that warmup ishh but drake is better and if him and drake had the same songs but swapped situations you would be saying the same thing. pffft ya’ll niggas are just typical haters.
