This mixtape was right on time for the brisk air diddy bop. I’m lookin up ArmyNavy stores in the area as we speak.

LF: that 18 year old kid from Trader Joes was bumpin Illmatic in his iPod as we was choppin it up. At that moment I knows there was hope.

  31. Camelot Says:

    Illmatic dropped in 94.

I know its the dude’s tape, but if you’re trying to capture a NY loving audience and you have mostly Lox and DBlock, as well as a clearly random ass “Lyrical Exercise” by Jay that dropped at the ass crack of 2001 among shit that mostly rocked before 99, you have a problem.

But fuck it, its free. And I kinda needed this in my life, no Juvenile.

  32. G7 Says:

there’s not one song from 94 on this compilation.

I wanna download this cd, but that would only force me to download every album these songs are on, cause majority of the songs on this cd was on classic albums, and it’s impossible for me to listen to cam’ron’s “that’s me” and not wanna listen to “violence” feat ODB.

^I gave it some thorough listens and didn’t like it. That “Legendary” album he came out with back in May is much better imo. It makes G.O.D. sound like some leftovers or just rushed.

Fact: If fiddy cent would’ve never blew up, corner bodega would not be on this tracklist.

He threw it on there because of the name, even tho corner bodega is one of my favorite songs off POTD, that song is on this list because of the artist, not the song or impact it had in 2000. If the person that put these songs together could, he’d put “back down” or something from GRODT on there also.

And no half-A-mil on the album? Wow

“some niggas” would fit perfectly on this tracklist

    Everyone seen this:

BERNARD HOPKINS has caused controversy by blasting mixed martial arts fans.
The Executioner, who is scheduled to return to the ring against Enrique Ornelas in December, claims the rapidly-growing sport is nothing more than ‘entertainment pornography’.

And Hopkins, 44, is adamant it cannot be compared to the sweet science.

He fumed: “Everybody is different but I don’t want to watch two grown men wrestling with panties on.

“I’m from the hood, we don’t play that. To me, I’m not buying a ticket to watch two grown men with panties on, sweating, with nuts in their face. That’s not me.

“To compare that to boxing is ludicrous. It’s a porno — it’s an entertainment porno.

“I’m not wrestling a guy with panties on and his nuts in my face.”

Hopkins insists he would not have a problem with MMA if its core audience was made up mainly of women.

But he clearly believes men should spend their time watching something else.

The American added: “I’m not criticising people for what kind of entertainment they like.

“But I think most of those people have chains and masks in their closets.

“I can understand if 90 per cent of women were going to those things but I can’t understand a grown man sitting there with a couple of guys watching two grown men with panties on, sweating.

“That’s just my opinion but it’s not a good look.”

*dies* @ that B. Hop rant. An older cat from Bmore that I know, who’s heavy into martial arts, said that martial arts aren’t supposed to mixed, per se. It takes years to master one before you can be 100% at it.

Also, he said he looked up the UFC rules and it’s far more restrictions than perceived.

  53. the real truth Says:

According to Allhiphop.com, 50 Cent will include a Jam Master Jay documentary in his upcoming album, Before I Self Destruct, paying homage to the man who both mentored him, and guided him to rap stardom when he signed to JMJ Records. The doc, titled Two Tables and a Microphone: The Life and Death of Jam Master Jay, will be packaged with the album Before I Self Destruct and a separate DVD of the same name. The 85-minute documentary will include interviews from Russell Simmons as well as Jay-Z.

i’m starting to hate the “casual fan” you can’t have a legit debate with the casual fan about any sport you have a passion for, perfect example, these 2000 and beyond laker fans, I fucking hate those fuck boys, they ride the wave of whoever is winning, only real laker fan I know is my mother, real talk, she might not know much about stats, who’s leading in assist/turnover ratio, but she rode with the lakers before I was born, I got my middle name from a former laker. Fact: All of these “laker fans” was either incarcerated, or invisible from the 04′ to the 07′ season, when they had smush parker and kwame brown in the starting line up, I didn’t see none of these fan boys.

Now back to B-Hop, MMA is garbage, definently not better than boxing, shit is mad overrated and wack, the same fans of MMA are the same people that was boxing fans when tyson was running thru niggas (n)

  66. Joe 88 Says:

Let’s not even get started about these “cavaliers” fans. Niggas was not fucking with the cavs when they had a washed up shawn kemp, breven knight and bob sura in the starting 5. Most cavs or laker fans, or currently new magic fans are also fans of the yankees.

Where’s the T-Wolves fans? Bucks fans, or bobcats fans? Oh wait, none of those teams won a championship, or made it to the finals for that matter, smfh.

I was so fucking happy when the cavs got eliminated from the playoffs last year, I almost shead a tear of joy, you should’ve seen how excited dudes was around my old block when lebron hit that lucky game winner, like niggas was running outside, jumping on cars, etc, shit was down right homosexual. It’s gonna be a sad day in my house if lebron wins a championship, or kobe wins another one.

    @ b-ease

I seen when you offered the whole studio situation, but that’s what I feel has been holding me back from getting to what I want to do, recording useless songs, or just recording just to do so, I gotta come up with a gameplan if I wanna do this seriously, and I feel that it would be a waste if I just record one song for the hell of it with nothing to really back it up.

Now that i’ve got a gameplan, I know what to do when I get back in that booth, I already got the beat selection down for my mixtape, song ideas, and songs already penned down, now I just gotta get this money situation straight, cause i’m tryna find a good studio and pay flat rate to complete my mixtape instead of a payment plan, money talks, and it’s gonna cost me a pretty penny to get this album done, press up thousands of cd’s, photo shoots, the whole 9, i’m taking this very seriously, that’s why I have been quite about me rapping in general for the past few months. I’m tryna hit niggas hard (n) next time around. I wanna speak on the last mixtape and why I wasn’t pleased about the outcome of it alos, but i’ll wait til my mixtape is done.
