Me and the Cos don’t always see eye to eye on everything, but I know his intentions are pure. I just feel like he kind of missed an opportunity to really make an impact with this by not bringing in some current artists to work on the project. I mean, you can’t even get kids nowadays to listen to old-head rappers, so good luck trying to get them to listen to some guys they’ve never heard of before getting all preachy.
“I don’t like referring to the music as ‘clean,” says Cosby, who does not rap or sing on the album. “What I like is what you’re not going to do. You’re not going to curse. You’re not going to put women down. You’re not going to put the glory of the gun somewhere. And you’re not going to put a whole lot of violence up front like that’s the thing that will cleanse you and make you feel better.”

My sister bought both Sweat & Suit
I remember I had just started grad school @ chapel hill
and drop down to Charlotte to kick with her the friday
after both albums dropped
and the buzz was that Sweat/Suit were gonna debut at #1 & #2
which was a big deal
then I heard them
and figured everyone bought it on the strength of them being Nelly records
cuz they were both garbage
it would have been a decent album if he made it a one disc joint
but he had way too much filler tracks on there
