The victim Shyne is referring to is Natania Reuben, who suffered a gunshot to the face in the club shooting that sent the rapper to prison. A $130 million civil lawsuit was filed by Reuben against Combs and Shyne, and is still pending.
^^
$130 million? Really? One bullet = $130 million? What planet is this again?

LF: Dear young black men:
Please stop wearing Gucci T-shirts and pretending that you’re wealthy. Big money brands (Gucci, Coach, Louis V. etc) are elite because they use quality materials and time tested, flattering and unique tailoring techniques. T-shirts are the antithesis of tailoring and quality material. They are made of cotton almost explicitly to soak up sweat. Spending $60-$70 on a T-shirt is ignorant. Save up a couple months and buy a suit. You’ll be able to feel the difference between a well made suit and the chopper suit you wore to graduation, I guarantee it.

^Naw, he served 10 years for putting over 1000 peoples lives in danger. When you shoot in a crowded area like that you get an attempt murder charger for each person, and he shot upward, which could’ve lead to someone getting shot in the head, shoulder, chest, which could easily cause death if he had hit anyone in there. He should be happy he didn’t get more time
@Billz
What up homie? Did you check out the bossman post a few threads back? lol. Shots fired!

@Joe88… Yeah I saw eskay reached for the tech on the dresser, lol. Real talk? That shit was bubby. Was that Tim Trees? Who was that fiend-lookin white kid? Did that lil ninja throw up a “T” for Towson? Towson?! GTFOH. And I hate when it’s 47383848 ninjas in the background with the same tee on promoting the group. Unless it’s a RIP tee, that shit is wack. Bossman need to stop with the Bmore anthems too. Ain’t this like the 3rd one?
Smh @ Bmore keep droppin the ball. I’m probably harder (nh) on local rappers than anyone because I know we can do better. Wayyyyy better. Once I seen Konan in the vid walkin around an empty bus station bathroom I knew it was certified wack.

*ahem*
You kidding right? Like you haven’t heard the best already from b-more.
lol. Seriously, besides myself, I listen to comp (the dude that was on def jam, was on the original version of “run” with jada & ghost) Lavon (that nigga stay locked up tho) Smash, Los, Verb (he’s signed to koch, or some record label I think) 100 grand man, cool brother, e-watts, Mully, skarr akbar, bossman, I can’t really think of any other guys that’s local and has a strong buzz outside of b-more, cause it’s alot of guys that I like from here (n) but there just making music and not promoting it right. When my homie put his mixtape out there, i’ll up it, i’m on there also, I let a few guys hear the track i’m on, production solid, lyrics solid, it’s a nice mixtape. If you wanna check out some more artist, go to this website

Comp is a cool guy, my homie is like family with his peoples, and he always told me about duke before he got with def jam, they wanted me to battle him a while back (why do non-rappers always want you to battle there buddy that raps just because you rap? lol) I think kevin dropped the ball with comp too (n) even if he wasn’t marketable (whatever that means nowadays) he could’ve been a ghost writer over there or something, dude got crazy bars.
Comp was slowly building his buzz up, jumping on all the hot songs at the time, getting features on tracks with cam, etc. He was just on the wrong label at the wrong time I guess, being a rapper on def jam in 04′ was not a good look, budden’s knows all too well about that (no shots)
*Turns up Comp’s “harder”* (pause)

Top 5 baltimore songs of all times
^Man, I would go as far as saying Top 3. I used to go to his DefJam website just to listen to it (this was before the era of Zshare and heavy downloading). A lot of people don’t know he has one hand too. Labels don’t wanna market that. However, my homie (who also wrote “Funk That”) wanted to sign him. The deal never materialized though.
“Coming 2 a City Near U” is also hard.
When Kevin left a whooole lot of shit fell thru. He also signed Jumpoff too. Funny thing is, he’s close to my cousin (from old husslin days) and my peoples have dinner with him like once a year. When I really wanted to do this A&R thing I wanted to meet him and pitch. But I felt like it wad a herb move since I know he get asked for some work a million times. After that I was weed carrying for a looooong time, lol.

^To be honest I don’t know because I’m not in the Bmore scene like I used to be. But he definitely had a mean buzz. Also check out governmentnames.blogspot.com
That’s a blog dedicated to the Bmore hiphop scene too. One of the dudes who run the blog laced me with the “Things Groupies Say” mp3 from the Hard Knock Life bonus disc. Cool peoples.

Yea, I actually just became aware of that a couple weeks ago when governmentnames reviewed his new project. The title (which escapes me now) is a direct reference to it.
