Rakim ft. Maino – Walk These Streets (prod. Needlz)
This Seventh Seal project is shaping up to be a pretty good old-head album.

”I don’t think it was as serious as everyone was trying to make it out to be…. When I was sitting in the stands I was very excited and I felt the connection, being from New York, being in Hip Hop… Alicia Keys being from Harlem and Jay Z being from Brooklyn and I was just so emotional.
I was really feeling it….I felt like I was being embraced at the time, Jay-Z was bouncing back and I’m feeling like this whole moment is happening but I’m not planning it to be a moment, it just happened.
I’m a dancer, and I definitely felt it. I wasn’t there to ruin the performance, I wasn’t there to bring anyone down or anything down. In that moment I kind of felt it coming so I just went with the flow.”
And has the lil’ diva reached out to Jay-Z and Alicia to apologize?
“No, I haven’t, I have tried, I got management to reach out. I would like to speak to Jay-Z one-on-one, just to see how he felt. I would just love to apologize…It was never my intent to be disrespectful to anyone. I’ve always been a respectful young woman in this industry, people know me for that.
You can tell [Alicia] that I apologize and I definitely plan to work with both of them in the future and I hope this didn’t rock the boat.”

Rakim still has some heat I’ll definetly buy his joint when it drops. Maino is garbage to me Rakim should’ve did Walk These Streets by himself.

[...] Finally we have some more Rakim material to hold us over until The Seventh Seal drops on October 20th. That’s a good look for Maino too, to get on a track alongside the god. Real heads are rejoicing in happiness right now. Sideswiped from NahRight. [...]

Why it gotta be an ‘old head’ album? I guess The Young Money record is shaping up to be a real ‘bitch nigga’ album.

Wowzers, “Holy Are You” was classical Rakim, this Maino adds nothing, in fact it makes he “Walk These Streets” with listening after the first jump.
Rakim, we need you to be The God MC!

This kid Freddy G must be smokin’ the “ooooo weeeee” if he thinks Maino bodied Rs on their track. Ra to this day still can hang with any of these bruthas out there. Now i admit that some of the production on some of his tracks have been less than steller, but Ra himself? The brutha still can flow. Freddy G must be 15 or something, because that “old rapper” gave birth to these young emcees. Like that Cosby line said, he brought them into this world, and Ra still has the ability to take many of these young heads out.
