Cory Gunz – In The Streets (Big Noise) [NoDJ]
This was my favorite record off the recently released Heir to the Throne mixtape. Not sure if it was the dope verses or the We Will Rock You sample, but this record had to be served with some untagged goodness.

The newest member of G-Unit? Banks got dropped from Interscope, is currently not even signed to a major…and 50 is still adding bums to the crew? What’s the point? What happened to Hot Rod?

According to witnesses Carmelo’s brother was leaving a club in Baltimore at around 12am on September 20th when he was jumped. Some witnesses say it was 9 guys others said as many as 20 and at least one witness heard one of the assailants yelling, “Where’s my $100?”

I think fiftys plan is to get New York rappers (unbeknownst to them) to help reintroduce G-unit, through collabs and such. Smart?

g-unit is dead, but its the rebirth of NY rap… you dont see this happening. Rae, Jay just dropped good albums, rappers that’s had beef in the past agreeing to put the differences aside to tour and get bread together. Mad collabos to come in the future.

NY rap has been making a comeback for years
but the biggest name is Fabolous
and he isn’t as tight as he thinks he is
October 5th, 2009 at 12:34 pm
you can’t really make a comeback with Jay, Rae or Nas
you need a under 30 crew that’s good,
right now there isn’t anyone on tap

^ you just saw and oportunity to take a shot at fab… imagine a mixtape with nothing but NY artist, songs with g-unit and the lox… Seperated you might say ho-hum, but both together is atleast worth a listen.

It’s smart…moreso crude, blatantly transparent, and a few years too late…but smart nevertheless…after years and years of doing everything within his power to shit on ever single other entity in the tri-state rap scene and shitting on southern acts for fostering a sense of unity and colaboration, he makes an about face and decides to fancy himself as “Mr. New York City Unity”…it’d be completely laughable if it weren’t for the fact that, like abused women, all those fools come chomping at the bit to go hop on Fif’s dick and allow him to use them…now it’s just kind of sad…seeing The Lox smiling and hugging Fif after he went out of his way to hamper their entire movement (dissing Jada, using label politics to fuck with Styles’ album) all for absolutely no legit reason…just made me shake my head…the worst thing about it, is that all of it comes years too late…G-Unit is dead buzz wise…the NYC hip hop scene is local, so collabo’ing with a bunch of rap bums in 2009/2010 isn’t gonna somehow bring G-Unit back to life…Dipset’s been destroyed, a 50/Jimmy & Juelz collabo is not an event…nobody gives a shit about Lylod Banks doing a song with Maino or Red Cafe…the whole thing is just kind of pitiful
