During a recent interview with Jay-Z, Trevor Nelson of the BBC brought up Kanye-gate and reiterated what Curtis told MTV News the other day: basically that Yeezy wouldn’t have pulled that shit had it been him up on that stage accepting an award. To which Jay responds: “I think he would have done it if it was 50 Cent. Nobody is scared of 50 Cent…”
To be honest, I don’t think Kanye would’ve pulled that shit if it would’ve been Curtis up there, but then Curtis never wins any awards anyway, so the point is moot.
You can check out the entire interview here. The part about Curtis can be heard at 1:23 in. Props to ICE.
They dropped the Clipse x KAWS cover yesterday, and here’s the second rapper x artist collab cover featuring Young Jeezy and Philly graf kingpin ESPO. Here’s an excerpt:
Complex: Why is that?
Young Jeezy: ’Cause I’m still focused. Don’t get me wrong, I ain’t gonna sit here and act like I ain’t got some things going on, but that ain’t never been my get-up. Anybody that I ever dealt with knows that I’m a very focused individual, and when it comes to my work and what I do, you might have to play the back burner to that.Complex: Does your situation with DJ Drama—
Young Jeezy: Man, I would never talk about that in my Complex Magazine interview, are you crazy? [Laughs.] No more light. Fight is over.Complex: No more light.
Young Jeezy: Grown, baby, we moving on. I ain’t really no nigga to search for attention or do shit to get attention. I never mentioned niggas’ names, or said anything about anything throughout my career to get no cool points—I just mind my business. But at the same time, I’m a man first. If I feel offended, I’ma speak on it. Like you, you’re not gonna be walking along and a motherfucker just say something crazy to you in the middle of Manhattan and you gonna just keep it moving? You’re gonna say your piece or what? [Laughs.]

Here’s the first cut off this kid Amen’s new project Queens Boulevard, which takes inspiration, as well as a guest star, from the show Entourage.
Summary: Today we get our first look at Amen’s upcoming free release, Queens Boulevard, and yes, that is a reference to the HBO series, Entourage. And who else could possibly fit better on a feature for the first single than Saigon, the rapper that gained much of his hype through the show. It’s always nice to get some new Saigon, but what’s even better, is that we get a real taste of what Amen is capable of, showcasing his ability to spit a boat load of bars with a high level of intensity. Check out the exclusive track and be sure to come back next week, September 30th, to catch the entire album for free!
So we got our hands on the original version of “Bed Rock,” which is slated to be Young Money’s official first single. Filet Mignon “Every Girl” was just a warm up record. This one’s produced by Kane Beatz. I imagine they switched Omarion for Lloyd once Omarion got signed dropped after his YM debut track with Wayne leaked onto the net. Jae Millz & Tyga are the two other artists to be featured on “Bed Rock.”
Here’s some bonus fuckery from the Young Money camp:
