lol @ comparing Banks and Jeezy.
—————-
i dont support either one of these niggas, but i can at least listen to a couple chosen Jeezy joints (c-”Go CrazY”)… as well as, “As Real As It Gets” … i cant listen to Banks at all … and i root for G-Unit…
September 29th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
Ninja this aint 1999, thats the point
^^^^^^^^^^
point is Jeezy career is a product of a a water down hiphop environment….Jeezy would have been laugh off the stage or out of a cipher if hiphop have ANY of the integrity it had in the 90s…
September 29th, 2009 at 1:54 pm

Jeezy is not better than banks as a lyricist….maybe a better rapper but not lyricist….granted Banks ain’t that ill of an MC but he’s better than Jeezy and yes it’s close (n)
^^^
That’s what east coats cats fail to understand, no one cares about endless punch lines anymore that has nothing to do with everyday life, people prefer jeezy simpler rhymes that talk directly about what the are going through or have been through, all that metaphor sh!t dont mean a damn thing anymore………sorry
^
And there’s people who prefer the metaphor shit over tha I sell drugs all the time….I’m not a fan of either but on my list Banks would rank higher than Jeezy (n)….if Banks could get half the promotion Jeezy gets it would be all good
September 29th, 2009 at 1:55 pm
now he sounds like Wiz Khalifa….lmao.

First off, I’m not defending Lloyd Banks.. I actually prefer Ross to Banks. Second, I agree with you on the punchliney stuff. Thirdly, I would like to formally invite you to die in a fire. I never said I was better than Rick Ross, but thanks for listening to the snippets.
^^^
No animosity intended…but you sittin their critiquing someone who is 1.) obviously a student of the game..few in the south are as lyrical as Ross and 2.) who is colder than you ever COULD be on the mic (even if you praticed forever)…I’m sayin tho..you sound like the fat old guy sittin in his La-Z-Boy drinkin a beer while his kids are crying in the other room, criticizing some NBA players form, or calling them stupid or talentless for making a shot….Not that you called Ross talentless, but it’s in the same vein

Banks recently been lacking something I’ll be honest (n) Jeezy is cool overall but I just can’t see Jeezy being better than Bank by far…if anything they’re equal…
September 29th, 2009 at 1:59 pm

Lloyd Banks is nice.. but he needs to change the style.
Hunger For More is a good album, but I’ve listened to it too much. Rotten Apple was slept on.
Jeezy’s albums are nice, especially The Recession.
Ross = The Bawse. Simple.
Ross > Jeezy > Banks.

Hip Hop has to be about lyrics or it really won’t be an artform. I listen to Jeezy cuz i like what the nigga says, same reason i listen to Nas but obviously they are on two different vibes. We cant say it’s not about lyrics tho cuz other than that them niggas really have no talent. Niggas dont play no instruments and they dont sing(most of em) so if hip Hop aint about lyrics and what and how a nigga says sumthing WTF is it about?
September 29th, 2009 at 2:04 pm
@ Detroit P– In any event, my critiques aside, Rawse has made more songs that I like than Mr. Banks has, with Maybach Music 2, Push It, and I’m The Biggest Bawse being amongst Rawse songs that I think are exceptional.
I just feel like dude is limited, that’s all.

Again, No animosity intended
But I don’t see how any of your points negate the fact that you’re a loser and a failure. If you gone start yellin “it’s my opinion” like a bitch, then keep that shit to yourself homie. Life on the Internet has scorned you and made you bitter and jumpy.

Cosign Black.. And for real, Jeezy has lines and delivery.. For his subject matter, he’s pretty good.
September 29th, 2009 at 2:08 pm
Banks isnt bringing anything to the table except punchlines, like I try to tell all the lil cassidy babies I know, no one wants to hear punchlines 24/7. You can be a punchline rapper and still spit on some other shit, everything doesn’t have to be a punchline.
You know something is wrong when a nigga dedicate a song to his mother and it’s filled with punchlines……..where they do that at?
September 29th, 2009 at 2:10 pm
bottom line is Jeezy has made 2 exceptional and 1 good album to date as to where Loyd Banks has been accused of having gay man sex on camera. Good Albums > Gay sex….get your heads out your asses, no pun intended.
September 29th, 2009 at 2:11 pm
smh @ some of yall doubting Banks….yall musta forgot (c) yeah yeah….he killed all those G-unit radio freestyles, mixtapes and albums….yall need to go back and listen again…..Jeezy made some good songs but I’m bout the lyrics more than anything

*shrug* I’ve been called worse. Duder, the internet is for random opinions. I tend to insult relatively nice people who disagree with me and “like” people who are kinda dickish (nh) that do agree with me. It’s whatever.
As for being a loser and a failure, don’t act like the In Character world of NR is an indicator of any real-life losses or failures. As far as my rappin’ goes, I did it cuz I wanted to. I know who I think I’m better than, and I’d never pop off and say I’m better than people I think are >> me.
Sooo, yeah. On to the next one and whatnot.

WTF? how do niggas even include banks in a > discussion? Like seriously….we talking about Froyd Banks?
Papoose> banks…jeezy is eons far above banks…niggas is stuck in the 90′s thinking a mixtape/punchline rapper is still hot in the streets…shit aint hot no more duke…
One nigga said if banks had jeezy’s promotion? WTF you smoking son?…if you can’t go gold off a 50 cent buzz, you just trash point blank period…Banks had wayyyy more promotion than jeezy….niggas be aggy and don’t think..
Just cause you think punchlines and battling is still hot….don’t make it hot…Niggas that battle are just that-Battlers….Just cause you can dunk on a 12 ft rim don’t mean you can hoop….
I swear niggas is stuck in a time machine….shits disgusting b.
September 29th, 2009 at 2:18 pm
I love some lyrical shit as much as the next man, but I really don’t look at these punchline rappers as actual lyricist, they just got set up bars that leads to a punchline, example
set up bar
I’m coming for the bread, a nigga stay hungry
Punchline bar
so don’t let the razor give you a buck 50 and I aint talking bout lunch money
That shit aint really lyrical, words having 2 to 3 at the most syllables in em, nothing extra clever, not a good play on words, etc, guys like cassidy, lloyd, fab sometimes, etc all fall in this catagory to me, so I never fully praised them as lyricist, actually there on the same level as niggas like Jeezy to me, except jeezy isnt stressing his brain tryna find out a funny way to say he had sex with your girl, he just comes out and say it, lol
September 29th, 2009 at 4:22 pm
