Video: Royce Confirms Slaughterhouse/Shady Records Negotiations
By now I’m sure you’ve heard the rumors/speculation about The Machine signing to the House That Marshall Built. In a recent interview with MTV News about his Street Hop album, Royce confirmed the negotiations.
“I’ve been talking to Em and Paul for a long time,” Royce added. “With this particular situation, things are falling into place. Everything is in place where it’s supposed to be. I’m very prepared [for] when the opportunity presented itself. It’s a time where there’s things they need over here and certain things we need in order to move over there. I think it’s a good marriage. Like I said, I just hope it can happen.”
When I first heard about this, I figured we’d get a song or two with Em, but this could potentially lead to all types of crack…Dr. Dre produced crack.

^^^ word…if all i get is a royce/em song, that’s golden, but i really think this marriage could pop off…SH showed they could sell a few records on there own independently without any radio play…if they get a machine behind them, they could really pop off…better than any other new rap acts interscope has (no offense to anyone, but let’s keep it real…wale is probably the only new rapper interscope has signed in like 5 years that has even a small buzz)

There’s actually a difference between aftermath ent and shady records. There’s no label called shady aftermath. They just say that for the artists that signed a joint deal with em and the doc. Joel was the doc’s artist…now he’s gonna be em’s artist along with the rest of slaughterhouse. All of the dudes that had their album pushed back till they left the label…they were technically aftermath…not shady records. So these guys should be alright. Hopefully
